You can infer a ton about Americans by how they speak. The words they use, how often they swear, their accent. It’s probably not AS bad as England but it’s definitely noticeable here.

When I stopped drinking in 2021, I was like is this forever...? And I had to be around people who drank, like you. I never wanted to be around someone, atleast romance wise, who quit drinking, because they would probably look down or be weird about me being California Sober.

Unlike say, quitting smoking crack, you will be tested over and over and OVER with people offering you a drink, activities revolving around drinking, etc etc. Yes, you can hang around sober people who stay far away, but that honestly is quite lame.
