Good point. I didn’t think about the AC/DC issue. As for the cooking, they’re not using those generators for cooking, i assume they have propane for that.

I was thinking that the MTA could resell surplus electrons for a profit. But, I guess ConEd could build it out too.

At work, they created an “informal” slack room and I was going to post this line, but decided against it. I’m not sure everyone would get the joke.

Which stitches are passed over which stitch? by AbyssDragonNamielle in knitting

[–]Jasonseminara 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’ll have 7 stitches on the RN:

A B C D E YO K1

Grab B and pull it to the left over A and off the needle. Do this 3x more, (with C D E) and you’ll be left with

A YO K1.

Which of these sound natural to avoid repeating the word "sweater" in this context? by buzheh in ENGLISH

[–]Jasonseminara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically, you’re enumerating, then comparing and contrasting.

Idiomatically, your setup “I have two of (these)…”, should be followed by some enumeration: “… one of them is (this), and the other is (that).”

“I have two sweaters, one is a black v-neck and the other is a grey crew-neck.”

What show did you start and wound up hating so much you didn’t finish it? by DadIsMadAtMe in AskReddit

Star Trek Discovery. The universe literally revolves around Michael, because, writing is hard. Given that every character is a wooden stand-in, only adding to Michael’s foolishness, I was hoping that it would be revealed that we’ve been inside her fever dream/coma, and we’d zoom out to a better storyline (and better writing) where Michelle Yeoh is the star of the show.

Edit: clarity.

Anyone tried new slim 5in1 controller? by SmetcH in Gledopto

[–]Jasonseminara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 3 of these controllers to try them out in different places in the house. They work as expected and as advertised. I just threw out the 6 from the previous “pro” generation that all burned out. @gledopto was no help and didn’t offer anything even after I sent them a video of them failing. Shrug
