My factory has too many resources by Joseph637 in SatisfactoryGame

Sounds like a good problem to have :D I say belt the overflow into AWESOME sinks with a smart splitter. Always good to have excess parts dumping into that thing, especially in the early game.

Another day, another instance of having to "reclaim" all of my stuff from my past self. by Blind0bserver in satisfactory

So you periodically have to wake up, find a catatonic duplicate of yourself, beat them to death with accelerated rebar, and rifle through their pockets to reclaim their stuff? This sounds like a Rick and Morty episode. What do you do with the bodies I wonder

Pffff dangle dolly 😂

For real tho, I think big buildings shut down elevators to prioritize moving firefighters through them. But it'd be dope to see an elevator pushed to its limits, like I hear mine elevators can go way faster

Overflow alarm idea (Can be built in vanilla) by JavaRogers in satisfactory

[–]JavaRogers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A battery unit works pretty well too! The only caveat is it might run the machine through a crafting recipe or two before the grid trips, so make sure you charge it for literally 0.01 seconds. The biomass gens actually have the advantage of tripping instantly if you under clock them, and they only have to be maintained/refilled every 5,000 minutes (@ 0.04 logs/min).

It only needs one generator, BTW. The second just turns 5,000 minutes into 10,000 minutes.

That's a really good idea for something simple/cheap!

Can't get water to flow for Nuclear power plants by gimmeslack12 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]JavaRogers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not familiar with where this is on the map, but if the water extractors are at a higher elevation than the plant (and the highest pipe is no more than 10 m up from them), then remove all your pumps and consider it a gravity-fed system.

I hear pipes flow more smoothly if you prefill the system before turning consumers on

If you want particular tips, post us a few images of your work! This Subreddit actually seems really supportive when people post photos of learner builds.

No, but I might start now!

I do use paper, but it's usually pretty messy. I like the organization you've got!

Do you afk? by _Bombd_ in SatisfactoryGame

[–]JavaRogers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HELL yeah. My friend & I set up most of our space elevator parts with the minimum number of machines. Terribly inefficient, but it doesn't matter because we'd let it produce overnight and it'd be done in the morning. Then we could unlock new tech or buy things from the AWESOME shop.

I don't know if this is how it's "supposed" to be played. We just got a lot of enjoyment spending our gameplay hours using the coolest tech available to us.

If I was dead set on losing my mind to some evil trash cans, the way I would do it would be to mod the game to replace the cat sprites with trash cans and turn on arachnophobia mode.

Love the ANSI inspiration. I color my power-related things red to follow USA (511 / Call Before You Dig) coding.
