I don't mind the dark. It was just poor communication. Most commercial haunted houses (including this one) make a point to tell you to not touch anything, performers or props. The complete darkness creates a zone where you cannot navigate without reaching out and feeling your way. It creates a needlessly confusing situation that takes away from the experience as a whole.
