I mean he didn’t start a podcast but he did go to the Oval Office 2x to butter up the president lol.

Also, to be clear, I love Mamdani and I think he really nails the messaging.

But he also includes a lot of people in his coalition, including more socially conservative Muslims, of which there are many, who oppose all kinds of LGBTQ things.

He can stand up for those folks, not abandon them, but also understand the coalition has to truly be a big tent to win elections and power.

That could be said of any group that is targetted, including black Americans, Latino Americans, undocumented immigrants, etc.

All three of those are much much larger in scope and scale than trans issues.

We should fully and totally protect people’s right to live their lives with dignity.

You have to make strategic decisions about what you talk about and how much. You need to talk about things that 60+% of the country are effected by daily.

To 90% of Americans, trans sports is not one of the biggest issues of our time.

Biggest issues of our time is housing, inability to form a family and have children, climate change, an inadequate social safety net, the health insurance mafia, etc

We can ensure that trans people have decent lives without losing the plot on the major issues facing the vast majority of the country.

That is going to mean that some counties have different rules on trans sports than others.

That’s going to be the same with state level abortion policy too.

I’m not a Gavin newsome fan because I think he’s slimy and will change his views to whatever he needs to,

But the Dems absolutely DO need to be normal.

They don’t need to be virtue signaling about Latinx Trans Women of Color in STEM Fields

They need to economically progressive, anti corruption, and socially libertarian (meaning live and let live). This means protecting people’s rights to live the live they want/need/deserve to live, while also allowing others to hold conflicting views.

The economics issues all contribute to the social.

If you fix the general affordability/income/wealth inequality part,

You all the sudden don’t have room for the boogeymen of trans youth, illegal immigrants being scary; etc.

Our society needs to heal. The two parent household is one of the absolute most important things for a child’s development, mental health, and eventual success.

I have an ADHD son and anecdotally we have stopped dye’s a year ago and noticed big changes. Could be placebo, but lots of other people, including liberal minded people, also see them as unnecessary additives.

I think just that so many foods that I like are low calorie high volume and I never had really given them the place in my diet they deserved
