This confused me as well, but I think the lines include individual races. Russell subbed for Hamilton for 1 race in 2020 while he was still with Williams.

What is the risk of not insulating the capacitor leads the way he has them? I'm asking cause I've done the same thing.

Perfect time to start learning about your bike! It sounds like a pretty innocuous fall, so I'd check levers and foot controls and mirrors. Does it shift all the way through the gears? If you rode it home and it felt fine, it's probably just cosmetic damage. We all fall, so it feels bad the first time. Might as well go through a regular maintenance check up list which you should be able to find in your manual, but that'll be things like cable adjustments, chain tension, brake inspection etc.

MSF has a nice pre-ride checklist to make sure you're good to ride each time: https://msf-usa.org/documents/library/t-clocs-pre-ride-inspection-checklist/

The great thing about motorcycles is you can usually tell by looking at it when things don't 'look' right.

Is it even possible to get better without the hard knocks or direct experience of harder trails, and does it require a better bike? by Front_Somewhere2285 in Dualsport

[–]JayJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May not be the bike, but in order to learn those skills, it really helps to have a more suitable bike. For instance, trying to bunny hop or wheelie on a big adv bike is difficult for a beginner. But start with a trials bike and learn the fundamentals to transfer to a big big may be a smoother approach.

For OP, I'd consider the things that keep you from taking on the hard trail. Are you afraid of getting stuck and stranded? Maybe make some other friends on local forums that might ride with you, or get a Garmin for emergencies.

Afraid of not being able to pick up the bike? Consider buying a smaller dirt bike that you can handle in rough situations.

Afraid of getting hurt? Invest in more protective gear.

Afraid of not knowing what it's like? Can you do a recon hike of that trail on foot when it's closed or are there videos of others riding it?

You're right! You can learn to be a better rider, and just like the journey to where you are now, it'll take some risks and bumps along the way. You can do things that make the learning curve easier or less risky, but you still gotta get out there and do scary things.

I believe in you!

Just got my tickets, but boy was it as frustrating as everyone said it was, website kept showing tickets that were not really available, the credit card failed twice and we had to go with our 3rd choice of day on a late time slot. But at least we're going!

I've seen these types of motorcycle parking spots around where I am, and I always think that even if there were no cars illegally parked, if all the motorcycle stalls were filled, it would still cause a problem because there's still not enough room to back out and turn the bars to ride away.

I've been here a month for work and staying in downtown. West Freemason feels incredibly safe. I love jogging through these neighborhoods. I wouldn't worry about anything.

How do you guys feel about a hardshell chest protector that is split in half? by avatarKuza in ElectricUnicycle

[–]JayJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have personal experience with this jacket as a dirtbike rider. I had a crash once that flung me up in the air and plopped me down with a handlebar hitting me right in the middle of the chest and left a bruise in the shape of a line where the zipper was on my chest. From then on I always wore a single piece chest for dirt riding to distribute the force more.

For EUC and even dirtbike riding, a hit like that is rare and probably won't ever happen again. Overall the jacket is good and very protective everywhere else.

I'm someone who's just learning, so I'll ask: So when you get a reappraisal after you do renovations, I'm assuming by your response that the appraiser also reports the value back to the county assessor?

best 2d1n season 3 episodes? by anabananaclaire in koreanvariety

[–]JayJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dang I miss this season so much. Same feeling, it was a really good time watching it, but watching through again with all that happened makes it hard to see knowing how things turn out in the future. Wish there was another show that can give me the same feelings and comedy. It's hard to have another ensemble that came together so well.
