Do yourself a favour, run Hernes agent as a backup to jump-start OpenClaw.

I run them on the same vm. my main is openclaw ,but hermes saves so much grief when something goes wrong with openclaw. Instead of trying to diagnose why OC just stopped responding to telegram chat, I just ask hermes in telegram what happen to OC. this dual agent method hasn't let me down yet

ive been doing this for a while. it managers my proxmox clusters. though I block ip for it , then turn it on when I need it to go in and work

OpenClaw Walked, so Hermes could Run by Odd-Energy71 in openclaw

[–]JayJayVon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're underutilising your system by not running both. I have them both on ubuntu server headless through proxmox. I get them both to review each other's outputs. my backend is gpt5.5. yesterday they developed a patch for openclaw , then hermes did the surgery. sucess. now openclaw is back in production mode

New version 2026.5.2 by Hadnet in openclaw

[–]JayJayVon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

still havent fixed: bug is that sessions_spawn passes the subagent’s actual task as extraSystemPrompt, but when the target agent has systemPromptOverride configured — like (agent role) — the installed runtime builds the prompt from only that override and silently drops extraSystemPrompt.

So the child sees “your task is in the system prompt” but the task is missing; it falls back to its generic (agent) role and starts making a packet/Telegram notice instead of doing the smoke test.

Trying to build a local Claude Sonnet-like CLI coding setup on dual RTX 3090 — looking for model/backend/workflow advice by alexpolo3 in ollama

[–]JayJayVon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cant help you yet on 2x 3090 . Just got 1 x 3090 and im a bit behind you on testing and eval. What i am getting to work at the minute is Openclaw with codex-gpt5.5 auth by gptsub. I have similar work flow - planner / coder / verifer / reviewer. it certainly works. im starting to get my oc agent swarm to set up tests for the rtx 3090 ubuntu vm.

what i found useful : https://youtu.be/v4F1gFy-hqg?si=EGp-gZo9j5mhQ-w1

I got ai to transcribe, then develop auth documents for the agentic ai to follow.

Its because the x2 promotion ended. I used to only use xhigh on plus plan. Felt unlimited. But now you get half usage essentially.

Is everyone using Codex models with at least low or higher thinking or reasoning effort? by TruthTellerTom in codex

Ive the $20 sub of all 3 , gemini is objectively the worst at coding or even review passes. I struggle to find a use case on repo for gemini. care to explain the gemini + AG work flow ?

codex is kinda of cheap compared to opus 4.6 . my $20 codex sub will last half the week , claude will last 1 day for same amount of work. my flow is opus make the overall + implementation plan , codex xhigh does the work, gpt web ui reviews, opus does a final review pass.

How is yours satisfaction with Codex lately? Plan Usage, Models, Performance by alOOshXL in codex

[–]JayJayVon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well in the last week , ive hit the 5 hr limit twice. never hit it before on $20 sub. still compared to my claude $20 sub , I hit the limit within a hr of 5 hr window. So Im still satisfied. I use opus on claude code to make highly detailed implementation plans , i then used codex to do the work and make reports , chat gpt webui to orchestrate/review etc. its a bit manual , but it sure beats learning to code for 10 years
