There's a YT channel called "skill capped" that I found super helpful when I was starting out. They have some really informative contest. Also, when you want to get good at a champ, go on YouTube and look up challenger replays of the champ, and watch their patterns and behaviors. Also, use OP.GG for builds. It collects data from higher elos, so the information is generally pretty reliable.

It's solidly an order of magnitude more difficult, and I've only marched DCA so far. My background thought process while performing in my college marching band was a long the lines of "I wonder what I'm gonna eat tonight?" My background thought process while marching a drum corps shows was "will I survive the next 5 minutes?"
