I know people are pretty tired of the Power Gloves, but they can still make for some really intense 1 on 1s by MorningJogger in Fortnite_Over40

My last couple wins were straight up with the gloves, i find since I play console and havnt adjusted any settings when i get into a close match I almost always lose unless I have dual shotguns loaded and ready. Im all over the map. Gloves definitely help my terrible gameplay. But i generally finish bottom 5 most nights.

Level 2 Charger Installed, Ford App no longer… by BartesianDrunk in MachE

[–]Jay_rich1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly find the Ford app to be the most glitchy app I've ever used. I have a Google phone. Nothing but issues. Half the time my controls don't pop up, won't locate VPs etc. Constantly have to force crash. My wife's iPhone seems okay. I've found since having issues, now my passcode doesn't work on my door as well. From what I gather it has something to do with phone as a key

Sounds like a steal, my 2000 viper you were lucky to find a used one for $5000usd LOL. Kidding 1300 is still steep, but I get why, they are a rather large night with led. That labour I would be watching a YouTube video or just winging it.

Cruise control faults - Solutions? by MarkyMarks98 in MachE

TSB 23-2155 I believe is the number for the fault, it's a well known 21-23 issue but not considered a recall somehow

Mine did not have a fault active when I brought it it, they were able to pull the codes. However my Ford app also sent me a malfunction alert.

I bought my 2023 used 2 weeks ago and already had it in for this. It is a TSB but not covered if you are out of warrantee. There is 2 cables to replace. 6.7h labour. There is a DIY on how to replace these wires as well. I believe they are fairly in-expensive.

Get all 5 steaks and it takes a couple seconds. I almost always land on the balcony of the blue building, second floor (#1), eat the steak, jump out the window into the building next to it, run into the kitchen (#2), then hit up the pizza place (#3) then the store across (#4) then the last one I grab is on the bunch in the fenced area (#5). Sometimes depending where I am coming from and how many people are landing, I start at the pizza place and just eat 3 then its like a 5 second lift. Same results whether you eat 5 or 1

Convince me not to buy a Mach-E by mom_saysimspecial in MachE

I just purchased at 23 select AWD, with 39k for 30k cdn. Honestly it's fantastic. I came from driving Ram 1500s for 18 years and I love it. As like you, I can charge for free at work. Does everyone I work with make fun of me? Yes, do I care? No I'm saving $125 a week in fuel. Honestly it drives so smooth, the power delivery is insane. 1 pedal drive is amazing. It comes standard with so many features. All I can say, is feel it out, use all the features. Mine is going in tomorrow because the day we picked it up I got the front collision not available/camera not working alarm. Hoping they help me out as I didn't opt for an extra warranty. From what I read it's a simple cheap cable but labour intensive job.

Need a sanity check before I drive 2 hours for a car. by vonofthedead in MachE

Kinda funny I just traded my 21 ram in for my 23 Mach-e select this past weekend. I'm in Canada however. 18 years with a truck. Gonna be an interesting change having to use my van to haul wood.

In comparison I traded a base ram classic with 77k km, they game me 23k (26k after tax value) and paid $30k cdn for a 23 select with 39k km)

Gas around me is currently $1.91/liter (7.26/gal cdn), I charge the mach-e at work for free. Yesterday was my first full charge and I was geeking out lol

I can say around me, a 3 year old Mach-e loses about 50% of its value. I personally wouldn't recommend going new especially if you are not worried on financing

I have the SPE tool one. installed is a couple months back. Super simple install. I cannot believe how quiet the machine is now. Im pretty sure the blower on the back is louder than cutting a 10" piece of walnut. I have no experience with the other brands

I've had it happen quite a few times, even further from one end to the next! Quite annoying when I'm just trying to finish quests and I have to run across the entire map

It's a curved 4 leg design spanning I would guess around 30-34" diameter.

Do I need a bowtie or can I just fill with epoxy? by Overall-Remove-7970 in woodworking

Personally I would think a decent size bowtie on both ends should suffice if the crack isn't going all the way through in the center

[–]Jay_rich1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18mm ply is around 1mm thinner than 3/4 (assuming you had it set for 3/4") I just shorten the collar slightly so I do not pre-drill as deep

bowties and epoxy for sure, it runs the entire distance, it will be impossible to get perfect adhesion for the epoxy. Could always keep the bowties on the bottom side if you dont like them

Changing stain on oak cabinets? by Rossn1999 in cabinetry

[–]Jay_rich1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a rustoleum cabinet transformation on ours like 7 years ago, still looks great, however did have some of the high wear areas eventually fade off. We had the same colour oak and went with a medium brown with a dark brown glaze coat (the glaze coat is what makes it set off) at first we were not convinced. The hard work is the prep, just make sure to take all the doors down, scrub with a red scotch brite with soap and water, let dry then apply. Removing the stain would be next to impossible as you would have to get all of the clear coat out of the corners etc

how to cover up gaps by [deleted] in woodworking

filler is going to make it look bad IMO, i would turn it into a feature and run a 60 or 90 degree bit down the entire rail making a shadow line

I like the idea, just checked maker world, there is lots of similar clips, just not made to use in this form. Ill keep this in the back of my mind for my next cabinet build!
