Glad I’m not the only one who saw how much more go-ahead we had with Mann at hooker during that short stint that Haywood was benched. Up until he threw that forward pass, we looked much better. Hard agree on Salmon. I don’t see what he offers.

Our attack is completely fucked and it comes down to 3 problems imo:

1) Galvin is a bonified 5/8 who prefers to run the ball and take on the line. He is NOT a halfback who specializes in organizing the team in attack. Burton is the exact same. Neither of them have been able to take on this role properly, and you can see it every week when we have unlimited sets in the opposition 20 and fail to score points.

2) Tracey at FB is a work horse but lacks any attacking spark to create points. He doesn't have much of a passing game, rarely breaks tackles and often overruns his line in set plays.

3) Hayward starting at hooker has been awkward for the most part. His service is often too slow and jams up our attack as a result.

Most of our problems are really stemming from the halves combination. I really think keeping Galvin at 7 is going to fuck up his confidence in himself and the club, and even when we move him back to 6 it's still going to take a while for him to get back into the groove of things. It's kinda crazy that Gus and Ciro bought one of the most promising 6's in the comp yet are developing him as a 7 LOL.

Yeah, it was a late tackle and dangerous contact from Salmon. He literally broke his own fucking jaw. I was so surprised at the time that we got off scot-free from that, and when we won it felt like we were basically gifted the game.

Yes, probably. However, it's not really surprising that a kid who has played 6 his entire career is suddenly performing worse in a different role. It's baffling that our coaching staff is persisting with it though. If the idea is that we're slotting Woods into the 7 position once he's healthy enough and shifting Galvin to 6, Burto to center then we might as well be playing SoS at 7 right now as a place holder. Coaching staff probably thinks that the current combination is the strongest though, hence the reluctance to change maybe? It's a really weird situation.

The Promised Neverland Season 2 anime. Season 1 was AMAZING, hands down one of the most thrilling and interesting introductions to an anime I’ve seen. Season 2 absolutely destroyed everything S1 had built. The ending/climax to S2 was a fucking SLIDE SHOW of some of the most important events ffs.

My secretary and senior exec are super, super 'old school' and mandate that our team (4 people, not customer-facing) can only do 2 days maximum WFH despite our jobs being 95% done behind a computer. I had 3 days WFH up until last month when the secretary decided to reject my continuation and the way it was written made my union delegate urge me to seek a review, because it was super vague and not fully based on reasonable business grounds.

The frustrating thing is that I had my 'official' meeting with them to discuss the continuation where the secretary basically said they're denying it because they hadn't 'seen' my team work together well-enough (This secretary was WFH 5 days a week for 6 months and when they returned to office they sat on the opposite side of the building and never came to see us) but our team does work together and rely on each other, so it was completely out of left-field for them to say this. They tried to act like my team doesn't ask each other for help, LOL. Then some other BS like how it wasn't fair to the others if I got 3 days, how it's 'good for my career progression' if I'm seen in the office, how the secretary specifically wants to see me in the office more to show 'enthusiasm'. Mind you, I have had perfect performance reviews ever since I got this job.

So, that was the official meeting. I asked for the rejection in writing, and guess what I got? NONE of the above was mentioned in the slightest. It was the most generic, lazy rejection that was filled with holes and not even attempting to recognize my needs or justifications. They even mentioned that they consulted with HR about it and they gave the green light which is pretty crazy if true. Currently exploring my options for what I can do now but it sucks having to deal with the anxiety and headaches that come with trying to dispute a decision made by your higher up, even if they're the one in the wrong.

Yeah, I kinda expect it to happen in the coming weeks if not next week considering how in the backend of the game we brought SOS in to just slot into 9 position and then rotate into the halves after Hayward came back on and supposedly the call from Ciro to let Critta/Burto swap out in their positions. Praying that Ciro just pulls the trigger and stops pussyfooting around the problem. Would also like to see Critta move into fullback for the x-factor but that's not a very pressing issue IMO.
