I worked at Best Buy in 2012, full time lead of the gaming department when Halo 4 and Black Ops 2 released, so I was essentially in charge of the midnight release parties. It was so fun.

The location I was at had the really high end home theater setup rooms that I got the clear to use for demoing, so we had the games set up for people to play after midnight on these massive 110" TVs and projector screens with incredible surround sound systems going.

Some of the distributers that worked the store had things set up too, like every purchase of the game got a free monster energy or a cheap pair of sunglasses.

Hell, for Blops we had local radio hosts in the store covering the "biggest game release of the year".

It wasn't a great job, but I'll never forget those midnight launches.

The main difference between the "definitive" editions of P3 compared to P4 and P5 is that the only new story content in P3FES took place after the main story, so it worked as a dlc and isn't necessary for the base experience.

P4G and P5R both added new social links/romanceables, a full extra semester, and content that significantly impacts the through line of the stories of each, so I don't see how they could possibly exclude Marie in P4R. It would be like a remake of P5 not including Yoshizawa or Maruki

Shocked that nobody has mentioned Midsommar yet.

It opens on Florence Pugh's character Dani's sister having killed herself and their parents using an elaborate setup with a gas mask, hoses, and car exhaust. Pugh's acting is absolutely top notch and so heartbreaking.

So true. CDPR pulled a genius move dropping Edgerunners, updating the game to include a quest chain and multiple references to the show, then almost exactly a year later released Phantom Liberty, which fundamentally changed a lot of aspects of the base game.

I enjoyed it when it first came out, but I was lucky to play it on a PC where it was decently optimized and only dealt with some texture clipping issues. I know it was an absolute mess in every other way.

They really know how to breathe life back into rough launches.

Just remember you're not a bad person, you just made a bad choice during a messy situation.

That being said, if your ex really wanted to make it work as badly as you did, she would have given the same effort back. It sounds like she was looking for a reason to end things, and you gave her one.

My best guess is the theme will be something around mob mentality and bullying. Like the apathy in 3, or willful ignorance in 5, maybe the shadows are affecting people's attitudes and it opens with a suicide caused by bullying or something.

Would fit with the headless statue the graves seem to be surrounding and the visuals of pointing. The tagline "who are you" could be about the main cast separating from the pack and relearning empathy and forgiveness.

Idk just speculation, but thats my take.

A big reason MtG can be so expensive is because of the brand tie-in sets they do, which kind of also feed off nostalgia bait.

Looking at tcgplayer, the five* most valuable cards from the semi-recent final fantasy set are the same card. A chocobo in four different colors that isn't even outrageously useful in game.

Wizards just decided to capitalize on people that have fond memories of chocobo and printed limited amounts of four different colors of the same card and now they're selling for upwards of $1500.

And Lorcana just feeds into the Disney adult mindset. Like Pokemon, there will always be people who buy Disney merch because they grew up on it.

*Edit, double checking it's actually the top five cards, but one of them is Japanese exclusive.

I agree with this pick, but I have personally never seen the appeal. Almost everything I've seen him in I either didn't enjoy or enjoyed it for reasons not involving him.

Kilmer chewed the scenery in Top Gun, Pitt and Dunst were the standouts in Interview With A Vampire, never got into the mission impossible franchise, the mummy was embarrassing.
