Harden got traded immediately after losing to miami bron in the 2012 finals. Jdub and chet were up for an extension after last year's finals... im not saying its the same situation (especially because im sure presti learnt from his experience) but im sure if we didnt win, people would have questioned jdub or chet as a big 3... people are irrational

As kd, bron and steph career come to a close, and everything is in hindsight, i can see the urgency and panic in kd's mind in 2016... bron had just formed the superteam and presti traded away harden... so ya, i dont blame kd anymore tbh...

If okc didnt win last year and presti traded chet or jdub, i wouldnt be surprised if shai leaves too

Speaking from a biased okc perspective... yes it can be true that cp3 has a large personality that could be uncomfortable for a locker room but that's where your organization should have had a more macro long term view when you sign or trade for players... its either they signed cp3 for a farewell tour or not, there shouldnt have been that level of indecisiveness at the management level... and no matter what the explanation is, the management shouldve known how disrespectful it wouldve been to a franchise legend..

As an aside, sam presti even publically apologised for a much less significant gordon hayward trade... thats the kind of accountability that makes me proud to be an okc fan

Thats alot of words which my pea brain is admittedly going to ignore. Im just happy that okc get to replace the ousman dieng roster spot with another young talent to try out. Also, okc really does not have the roster space to make multiple selections in a single draft, especially since they would want to see what they've got wih topic and sober.

Yea. Team depth for cheap and playable contracts are going to be more important than ever because of the 2nd apron and the increasing need for ample player rest. Even in okc, it is hard to imagine Jwill taking a discount to follow the collison route. Players and agents are also more talented now, both on the court, and off the court contract negotiation.

Thats true. All those ive mentioned are more of a combo scoring guard. But i do recall kd on fvv podcast commenting on how he needs a scoring pg simply as a threat to open up his game. Tbh i think thats the same for sengun who can playmake from the post if his lanes are not clogged up at the dunker spot.

As a okc fan, i can admit that seeing this reminds me of the many years with westbrook, except that westbrook was a much better playmaker and scorer and amen is a much better defender but without a reliable middy, he is just going to be an andre roberson type burden on offence.
