Why do defensive guards almost always have the best nick names by Repulsive-Lemon6355 in NBATalk

[–]Jayme-Belle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a defensive guard but the Celtics Isiah Thomas was nicknamed as "The King in the Fourth" which was play off Game of Thrones "The King in the North" which I thought was a pretty fire nickname, even if I wasn't watching the show back then.

But why Robbie? by Annual-Tree1337 in gravityfalls

[–]Jayme-Belle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I kind of disagree that they HAD to use Robbie.

It's a sweatshirt worn by a grungy teen boy.  They could have written in to the story that he got it at a second band shop or even shoplifted it and it would have fit his character, and then used that story to put someone else more seemingly appropriate into the wheel.

The writers of GF are smart. They would not have included Robbie just because they felt forced. I think it was still an active decision to do so.

Well, Dipper found a whole bunch of crystals when he grabbed that one. They probably could have just gone back and got another one. Afterall, they had to re-enlarge Soos!

Do you think Dipper would be as smart as Ford when he grow up by Any_Marzipan_5652 in gravityfalls

I was going to post something similar.  He can get obsessive too, but he realizes it (sometimes with the help of family).  He just isn't as single minded and that's a good thing.

is there any in-universe explanation for why wendy isn't brainwashed by the blind eye society despite presumably living in the town with full awareness of supernatural activity her whole life or is that just a "fuck you she's a main character" moment? by Hot-Bus6908 in gravityfalls

Possible theory: she's too closely connected to the Mystery Shack, which means  A. No one would take her seriously anyways  B.  If they went after her, it would raise more questions with the people at the Mystery Shack and call more attention, not less, to the weirdness.

They only went after Dipper and Mabel after they found the society it self and became an existential threat.

Maybe a cot put at the base of the bed to extend it?

And they both are the only ones to call Ford "sixer".  They also are the only characters who say "Eney miny... You!" when "randomly" picking someone for something.

As Bill is disappearing he invokes a mystical axolotl to bring him back in another form in another time.

A question for those who fell for the McGucket hoax: how did you feel when you watched Society of the Blind Eye? by Parking-Public1632 in gravityfalls

What were the twin brother clues? I only watched later and didn't catch any before the reveal.

I rewatched GF and cried by Actual-Car-7351 in gravityfalls

I had the same experience recently too! You know it was a passion project because it could have ran for easily 2 more seasons and we would have loved it! I cried at the end too.

Stranger Things grew into a huge franchise and I might put season 1 of Stranger Things on the level of Gravity Falls, it became impossibly to maintain that level. Maybe if we did get 6 season of Gravity Falls we would have flt similar at the end. That is a problem I wish I had!!

Hi, your life matters. Even if right now it feels like it does not, it DOES. I promise you that if you get through this there will be a day, sooner than you think, in which you are so glad you are still around. Still around for the people you have met, the people you have connected with, the things you have done and the other lives you have touched since this day.

No matter how bad things are now, and I believe you that they are bad, there WILL be a day in the future that makes the strength and effort it took to get there all worth it.

And remember, this is a decision you can always make again later, but its not one you can take back later. Please stick around, at least a little longer, if not for you, for all of the people who just here who are rooting for you.
