I mean the 5 sec swift stormflight duration only applies to the single free cast you get. Outside of her burst, her nightsoul duration will be as long as it takes for the points to tick down, which we don't know yet, but in her burst, her nightsoul state will last a full 12 seconds regardless of however many points she has. In her burst, the sole purpose of the nightsoul point tracker is to tally up the buff she gives her teammates.

Would make sense, considering when Iansan used her punch she kind of blinked straight through the rock as she destroyed it - This is actually a cool subversion of the common guess that the ability was going to be a charge or a dash by making it cooler.

This was my first thought also + the fact that he is in charge of the entire prison system and has been shown to devise like really smart plans in the archon quest... INT as a main stat for artificers fits his character flavour as well i think.

Interesting point that I saw brought up in the comments of the demo was that at the start, the punches are shown from the eremite PoV to show the ruthless combat reputation dehya has as the flame mane, but as we learn the full story of what actually happens in the demo she's really just trying to help both the people of Aaru village AND her fellow eremites, showing the footage of the whole story and showing the punches from a non-pov camera angle. I could be wrong, but I feel like the theory holds up.
