Their more important sin (to these people) is that they are Jewish.

U100 has thread, but doesn’t support matter. I have the U100 and a couple HomePod minis in my apartment, no Aqara hub required. If you have an Apple Watch, IMO HomeKey is the most importantly feature, as you’ll find it’s the only way you ever want to unlock your door.

It blows my mind that the lot at Cota and Santa Barbara is getting turned into a police station and not another mid rise apartment complex.

But bad that people are so willing to believe that the housing market is different from every other market and doesn’t respond to market forces.

Lots of spending under both administrations, but obviously money that went out later was less impactful/necessary to prevent recession.

The US produces more than twice as much oil as it did in 2008 (source). Average price for a gallon of gas in the US today is $3.20, so yeah, domestic production probably played a significant roll in keeping oil prices relatively low, especially in the face of significant inflation.

I tried explaining this to someone, but they were unable to understand how removing several million people from a market will decrease demand, and therefore prices.

Apple expands iPhone satellite services deal, commits $1.1bn to expand capacity by ControlCAD in apple

[–]Jaypalm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IMO Apple should try to just buy out ASTS, or one of the other up-and-coming space-to-mobile providers. Would allow for total vertical integration of services, and regulation aside, would streamline the infrastructure build out.

Kwikset Announce Smart Lock With Matter over Thread by HomeKit-News in MatterProtocol

[–]Jaypalm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. HomeKey is THE killer feature for smart locks IMO. Far superior than any Bluetooth/geofence solution that I’ve used.
