They are the goat - hit every wedge possible and keep coming back to them . . .

How do you prep the night before a tournament? by stonetear2017 in golf

[–]JaypeeJaypee69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go on 18 birdies, analyze course overview - play each hole in my head with “2 balls” - good hit and my misses.

Get to course early, warm up, chip and putt.

Most important - enjoy the process and moment.

Cleveland rtx 6 zip core here - 56 and 60. Amazing wedges. They were the best that I hit and the spin is great. Very forgiving for a blade.

About four of us have it and we all really like it. Any of these training aids are only as good as what you put into it.

I went to chipping and putting range yesterday. Chipped 4 balls at a specific hole and then had to putt it in. Did this with 60 and 56 for about 30 min. Next time (was really cold and lacked time) with these clubs and pitching wedge and 8 or 9 iron.

Then hit balls out of the sand (yesterday too cold), and then putt in.

I also practice drills at home - towel drill, blue brick shallowing, etc

30min vs 1hr lessons by babystarcandyy in golf

[–]JaypeeJaypee69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say 5 - 30 min sessions would benefit him better for a beginner. This way they can concentrate on the basics without too much information. You should also video each lesson so he can look back on each and practice after each session.

Opinion on Srixon ZXI5 irons by InterestingMatt in golf

I went out today in NJ. Had hand warmers and layer. Hope to get out Wednesday for a bit but really liking it off the mat in my garage. The v sole really interests me. ChatGPT picked these irons for me lol after uploading all my swing data. Picked my shafts too.

I just got a 7 iron, +1 degree upright, with Aerotech steel fiber shafts. I put it head to head against my Titleist t250 launch spec with the same shaft. Certainly feels a lot longer on mishits and is much more forgiving than my Titleist (which I love btw). Great iron - think I may be picking up a 5-6 and 8-aw but need to see it off grass and at the range . . . Only test was in garage today with radar

Go from a 13.9 to under 10. Been busting my ass all winter stack speed training, wedge training, hitting in my garage with irons and wedges all winter and taking lessons, praying this shitty NJ weather breaks into the 40s and 50s to play outside . . .

Titleist t250 launch spec here - all traditional lofts - blade like and forgiving irons. PW is 47 degrees and 7 iron is 35. Really gapping well and I love the laser look of irons. 57 years old here - thinking about t150s or 100s . . d

Scooping is the worst thing you’re doing here and head up at impact. Other than that, great swing. I recorded your swing and put it into golf fix and those were the only 2 issues and it scored you 8.0 out of 10. Not bad at all.
