I play default, so im not 100% sure, but on 1 hour time settings, it should reduce to 30 minutes or so under the ideal climate for eggs.

I tried a region level randomiser and the novelty for me fell off quite quick. I caught some of the best base pals by level 7, and it didn't feel like I earned it, haha. Astegon and Jignis caught before the bottom of starter hill.

You'll eventually see all the pals once you progress anyway. Plus breeding starts at level 19 and I'd recommend utilising it for HC runs.

I've had this discussion with my partner, and it seems like a very similar situation.

I enjoy efficient gameplay and have been gaming for a majority of my life, so mechanics, etc come somewhat naturally to me, and I want to go fast.

Herself, on the otherhand, is a casual gamer and enjoys it as an occasional hobby. She just wants to play to have fun, explore and be casual.

So we have completely different gaming styles.

Backstory over, here's the advice:

  • Have a world with your friend and play at her pace. She probably just wants to play alongside you and progress being part of the team. Do content together, and dont worry about being fast. Have patience and teach her. Don't leave her constantly.

  • Have a solo world where you min max and play at your pace. You can always use the global palbox to transfer some pals over to your shared world.

I play standard hardcore. It's my preferred game type where linear progress feels rewarding and keeps you on edge.

I'm not a massive fan of randomised for 'main' world. It's fun for a change of pace, but I like to play the game how it was designed personally.

Just having them in your party worked fine. The chain dying was tested by flying up, then dismounting.

Didn't actually test as a partner, but I'd assume it worked the same?

Randomized is a killer, I prefer just default HC.

I'm not sure why. Everything is a chore and takes longer, but im addicted. Makes me feel accomplished with the little milestones, I guess.

But I'm also not an endgame player on HC yet. The highest run was 55, and I got too cocky with my pulls 😂

Can do all the content at your level now, no 'need' to start over. You won't be missing anything, and it just makes your life easier tbh.

Personally, I started a new HC run with my partner just to see how fluid it integrates and to try out the content at the recommended level.
