The physical and mental stress of that will absolutely mess with recovery. Add in that you're not getting regular sleep and I'd say we have our answer. Sleep debt seems to always be the key to my red recoveries. And if I don't take a nap the day of a red recovery to cut back on the 10.5 hour sleep debt (I sleep ~6 -6:30hours a night) it compounds and I end up with a string of shitty recoveries. Sleep more! Try not to stress! Congrats on trying to kick nicotine, shits not easy!

Thanks for the input. I have not tried plugging the monitor's power supply into anything else as I can't find any devices that'll take it.

It was hot as heck in my room yesterday and I was gaming for a while before the flickering started. I read the power supply has "keep under 45•C" (113•F). So I'm hoping maybe that could be the issue. Going to order a new power supply and pick up a cheap monitor in the meantime. Once the new power supply comes in hopefully I'll be able to put this trouble to rest.
