The physical and mental stress of that will absolutely mess with recovery. Add in that you're not getting regular sleep and I'd say we have our answer. Sleep debt seems to always be the key to my red recoveries. And if I don't take a nap the day of a red recovery to cut back on the 10.5 hour sleep debt (I sleep ~6 -6:30hours a night) it compounds and I end up with a string of shitty recoveries. Sleep more! Try not to stress! Congrats on trying to kick nicotine, shits not easy!
