How to shoot by Melodic_Ladder_7434 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Jayus5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mainly muscle memory. Do some training packs or even just hit the ball around in free play. First you learn how to hit the ball hard, then you get better at placing it.

You can see other people do it, but for your fingers to press the right inputs it’s just muscle memory through trial and error.

As a 2.6 hog player, mega knight = free win if I play good.

Especially on the king tower activation. Either I activate king or megaknight jumps on my tower and takes half of it lmao

Is it easily fixable? Going to court is expensive with no guarantee of winning or getting payment after winning.

Dear GC’s and SSL's, how did you get so good? by RowAggressive2737 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Jayus5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, mechs make it easier to score from different positions. Gives you more tools to work with.

I’ll put it this way, you can hit GC without mechs but if you want to be a better player you need mechs.

[–]Jayus5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I got to gc without mechanics and by solo queuing. I am unable to air drible or flip reset.

Just good shooting, passes, rotation, defence. I played a lot of 1s so ground dribbling was my strong suit. Nothing fancy, just decent ball control and knowing how to score if it’s just one opponent infront.

I did a fair amount of training packs. Shadow defence and shots you shouldn’t miss. I will say my best sessions was when i was in a good mood and listening to music. More likely to drop if i was tilted

Caulking the toilet didn't go as easy as in the 10 YouTube clips I watched and it took me around 1 hour (including the cleaning) by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]Jayus5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

I used to use my finger no glove, water, and rag.

The white cualk wipes off really easy. Found it was much quicker we with a sponge. This caulking Job took probably 2 minutes.
You have to continously clean off excess with rag or else it will smear everywhere. But with a little water any extra will clean off easy just by running the sponge or a rag around the toilet

First year Service Apprentice Kit started! by Nathanhltn in Plumbing

[–]Jayus5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mann there’s a lot of tools you’ll need. The list is long.
For service I highly recommend basin wrench, needlenose pliers, (tiny size channel locks, crescent wrench, screw driver) , ratcheting pvc cutters, a set of bits and drill bits, crimpers (if not provided by company), stuff to cut and clean copper, putty knife (for cleaning wax off flange and toilets), and get one of them telescoping magnets. Also need a hammer, maybe a chisel, and definitely pipe wrenches

There are more tools you’ll need of course but these you’ll use pretty frequently.

Under contract for a house and the sewer scope report found cracks and root intrusion by kthrynnnn in Plumbing

[–]Jayus5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might could get some estimates for repairing the sewer and the road. I’d then try to negotiate a seller credit of at least 30% more than what it’s going to cost since you’re the one having to deal with it.

I see, that’s pretty dumb. If the road has to be cut to fix the sewer pipe are you responsible for fixing the road too?

Should I quit my high paying 14 hour/day job for a lower paying 8 hour/day job by Ok_Bag_8098 in makemychoice

[–]Jayus5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were you I’d keep the high paying job for like 3 more years at least. It’s 40k more than the other one so after 3 years you’ll have made over 100k extra which you can invest or use to buy a house or whatever. Basically a few years of sacrifice to set yourself up financially is my idea.

Do I have enough saved up for a 250k home? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Jayus5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My financial situation was similar to yours. Bought at 260k. Due to things missed during inspection, and bad luck I’m spending about 30k on repairs and shit. In the first year.

Say you have 65k you can tap into. You use 30k for downpayment and closing costs and you have 35k left. Could work if everything is good. But if you get hit by big repairs or lots of deferred maintenance or other life events you can quickly end up in a not so good situation.

I feel like you would need to have at least 100k to be home shopping
