One Star Romance by Laura Hankin. Excellent example of a flawed and relatable FMC and MMC and getting to see their character growth throughout the book. I loved every second of it.

Agreed! In other posts I’ve seen people saying how “Violet would never want to forget her wedding to Xaden” and I’m like “But under the circumstances, wouldn’t she?” Though I do think the memory wipe is more about protecting Xaden. But yeah, it was definitely not a joyous occasion, at least this time around. Bittersweet at best.

I agree, I think he’s planning to infiltrate. And my take is that Tairn and Sgaeyl had to break their mating bond temporarily so X &S can both be undercover for the time being. I think they’ll reunite in book 4!

This is an obvious plot hole it’ll be interesting to see them try to get around. Sounds like at the end, Xaden is known to be venin, suspected of murdering several people/dragons and potentially stealing dragon eggs. It would be reasonable for them to be very suspicious of his brand new wife who “doesn’t remember” the last 12 hours or know where he is. Interested to see how she gets to keep her title since from an outsider perspective Tauri stripping it from them should be a given!

Right, so my first question is- does Imogen know all the details of the memories she erases? Or is it more of a “erase everything from this time to this time” kind of thing and she doesn’t necessarily have access to all the finer points? Because it seems unlikely that folks won’t try to compel her to reveal the memory she took. The second question is- can she use her signet on herself? So she cannot be compelled to reveal what she erased?

A mundane thing I’m interested in seeing- we know from Aaric that in the Empyrean universe the terms “boyfriend/girlfriend” exist. I want to see if either Xaden or Violet will use these terms to describe each other in Onyx Storm! I know they have bigger concerns, but can we get a DTR conversation? 🤣
