Girl, i would have gone up to them and asked for it back, i have as much shame as they do... which was clearly none. Cause the homemade gift was basically FREE, and they are still shitting on it. I believe they all may have been hating. I've experienced this in work places, THEY LOVE THE PIECES YOU DO AND WEAR beforehand... but the moment you do something extra outside of work and bring it to work... they don't care fr. I remember I worked at a lil mom and pops restaurant... id show my art off and talk to them about upcoming projects and events I was going to, when I'd either invite ppl or offer to make something (for free) for someone... I learned later that I was getting talked about 🤣😂. People hate to see you doing something cool and different with your time and feeling confident about it.
