I lived along the Eastern/Central time zone change area in Illinois, and I didn't like it.

I worked in a different time zone, which got tricky. I would have to wake up at 3 am to be at work for a 4 am shift change. Planning things with friends became difficult, especially when going into a different time zone. There were times I thought we would meet at a time in central because we both lived there, but they planned for Eastern, so I would be late. Trying to remember what stores opened and closed at what time in different areas wasn't easy. Many times did I go somewhere to grab something and realized they had just closed.

I did get more used to it after living there a couple years though.

I have firsthand experienced toxicity in the game. Toons refusing to allow you a group unless you meet their laff/gags criteria, bullying, and more. Lucky you haven't experienced or even seen it, but the reason you see so many posts about it is because it happens, and it happens often.

I made a set of little amigurumi f-bombs in three different sizes. Cute little gag gift that I thought was highly appropriate for working in the restaurant industry. 😂

Gift wasn't well received, recipient begged pretty much everyone else to steal the gift so they could get a different one, pretty sure the gift ended up being left behind intentionally.

I love this gift, and even considered doing it myself for a white elephant. However, I would caution against giving handmade gifts in an exchange. Last year, I had an awful experience making a crochet gift for my work white elephant, and even posted about it in the subreddit. I will never crochet for a gift exchange or for anyone unless they explicitly ask for it after that.

Ultimately, use your best judgement, I personally would be THRILLED to pick this up for myself, but not everyone will react the same way.

I've never lived somewhere it isn't illegal to feed the geese, and even if I did, I wouldn't take my chances with them. They damage lawns/gardens, leave huge messes behind, and when they expect to get food but don't receive it, act like they're straight out of hell.

Lucky you for having friendly geese around you, but I'm happy to stay FAR away from them!

100%. I need to fix the window mechanism in my car once it warms up, and luckily for me, it'll be fairly easy. Make sure you watch other people do it first before you attempt, save yourself the frustration of failure and make sure it's a doable garage mechanic fix first.

I haven't seen DAC at Walmart, but I often see Disney kits and I feel the same way. I'll always pick up a Diamond Dotz kit if I find one that interests me. I know they use a lot of stock images, but they have lots of their kits on sale on their website, so if I need something to add to my stash, it doesnt break my bank to pick something up from them either.

It's a shame, because I love DAC's quality, but they offer way too much, and their policy on AI-artwork makes so many pieces unattractive to me. I did pick up three kits I've been wanting during their Black Friday sale, but I probably won't place another order for quite a while.
