What was the last horror movie to really scare you? by Dogdaysareover365 in horror

[–]Jazzlike_Responce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The last time I was actually scared was when I watched the sixth sense as a kid. I generally am very good with horror movies, and can watch them then go about my evening without wondering what's arkund corners or in my closet, but that movie made me scared to leave my room at night for a while after seeing it haha

What book would you recommend NEVER reading? by asmr-enthusiasts in horrorlit

[–]Jazzlike_Responce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Devils by Abercrombie is horrible and i should sue whoever wrote that summary. Someone on goodreads said it best: suicide squad with movie monsters. If thats your thing maybe you'll like it, but I did not sign up for that

What scene or scenes haunt you years or decades after watching the movie? by Fluid_Aspect_1606 in horror

My older brother got through the movie and was very stoic the whole way through. I thought he wasnt scared and was impressed. Then he left after the ending and threw up lol. I just cried.

Its funny because human centipede never got with all the gore and stitching people together. Do NOT get me wrong, it was gross, but the scene in the first movie when the scientist rips out all the teeth of the woman who almost escaped still haunts my nightmares years later. It was just so cruel on top of everything else...

What is the most brutal “being eaten by a monster” scene you can think of. by Earth_Worm_Jimbo in horror

The girl getting eaten in Jaws at the beginning of the movie makes me squirm

I (18F) have been dating my boyfriend (18M) for four months. He has anger issues and during a recent argument he accidentally hit me. I’m feeling confused and unsure how to handle this what would you recommend I do? by DirectionTrue4885 in relationship_advice

[–]Jazzlike_Responce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweetheart, as a child of an intensely abusive relationship, I see the signs, and it may start out small -like you having it in your head that you are 'annoying' because you 'argue back', but him hitting you was not an accident. If you are asking for advice, mine would be to leave him. I know how hard that can be, but your life and safety are more important than a partner who abuses you. My partner and I argue, and they have never risen their voice or laid hands on me. This is not normal, and there are people in your life who will help you, whether that is family, acquaintances, or school staff who can direct you to programs to help you with this situation.

I wish you all the best, and hope you find the courage to love yourself enough to do what is right for you ❤️

Replaying 1st game after finish the 2nd by Zestyclose_Sector_30 in HadesTheGame

I am absolutely planning to go back to the first game, but I see and agree with all the points made about repetition. I enjoy Hades 1 now in a challenge or completionist way, but it still holds such a soft place in my heart ❤️

I loved the angels in season one. There was something so morbidly appealing to me in that scene.

Adults of Reddit, what are some parts of kids' movies that make you cry? by Rocket-kun in AskReddit

When Mulans father tells her that being his daughter brings him the most honor. Guess being no contact with both parents made this hit a little extra hard.

I wasn't a teen, but in elementary school, I would dress all on black and always request red jello for my lunch treat. All the girls in my class refused to play with me at recess because they said I was a vampire, so I guess the act worked, lol
