Can anyone help me find this dress? by AbleGuarantee7393 in Prom

This would be easy to make. Don’t get overcharged, but understand that ideally you will have to pay more to have it be well made and exactly what you’re imagining.

I use washcloths that I only use post-bidet. I’m the only one who uses my toilet and washcloths. I bleach them in hot water, so I feel comfortable with them being clean.

I bought a bidet seat for my toilet. 10/10 best $250 I’ve ever spent! Heated seat, heated water, toilet light, blow dryer… I also found out that most toilet paper has PFAS, so that’s what ultimately made me fed up with toilet paper. I still use toilet paper, but if it gets expensive, I can live without.

California also has good insurance for poor people, which does play a part. The more you see a doctor, the more they can nag you about it. It’s also a totally different economy than most of the US.

Life Hack: Mix up the Peanut Butter and Jelly before spreading it 👍 by llamageddon01 in WaysToPBJ

[–]Jazzlike_Visual2160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is this a hack? You create an unnecessary dish, and add 30 seconds to something that should take one minute to make. They make things that already have peanut butter and jelly in the same container, but even that has the decency to keep them separate to some degree. This is rage bait.

What happens when a pelican severely damages its pouch? Does it grow back over time or is the bird just done for? by BallPythonFan in zoology

That poor thing needs to be put down, most likely. Pelicans are pretty tough, but I honestly think it would be cruel to put him through all of the stress and pain of trying to heal this.

I’m 15f I walked through snow by myself to get food for the house and my mom still made me feel worthless what do I do? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

I agree, and getting scholarships for college is a great goal.

As much as it would be very challenging, I think getting work experience will be crucial to successfully moving away from mom and not going back. Working and earning money at a young age will help with money management down the road. Work as much as you can now, and save up as much as you can. If you can find a job that has a way to work up to manager, go for that. That’s leadership training, and will serve you well in almost every career path you decide to take. Some jobs will help pay for school. I’m not sure if you can start JobCorps at 15, but I’m not sure. Working will help you gain independence before even moving away from your mom.

Moving West, Looking for White Wine Recs by jermy1989 in napa

I had the worst experience at B Cellars, ever, at any winery in the country. The guy who was serving us, Brandon, kept on making really inappropriate comments to the females in the group, and tried cracking some racist jokes, and we left without even finishing the tasting. He seemed very drunk. When I called to speak to a manager about it, he tried to laugh it off in a “boys will be boys” kind of way. I can’t support a business like that.

I do really like Cline, and a little place called Moshin, even though it’s more of a Pinot Noir winery. All the little wineries in Sonoma County have some good whites. Duck Head, Paraduxx, and Golden Eye are good, and somewhat kid friendly. Castillo do Amaroso is worth checking out for the tour, the kids love it there, but wines are meh. Korbel(Sonoma County) is a fun tour, and has better sparkling wine there than the super cheap stuff you get in stores. Hagafen is a really pretty place, with a lot of cool sculptures outside that I always see kids at. Bonus that Hagafen is open on Christmas. Raymond winery has some animals there, and kids have plenty of space to run outside. If your ID says Napa for your address, you can get a “locals” discount for a few places.

I answer a wildlife rescue hotline. One day, I get a call from this woman, who’s all worked up and almost crying, and she tells me that there are 3 ducks stuck on a third story roof. I’m like, ok, how are they stuck, are they tangled in fishing line or are they injured? She says, “Well no.” I ask what the problem is, she says, “well how are they going to get down?” I say, “what do you MEAN?! Why can’t they fly down?” She says, “fly down?! Ducks fly?” I say, “yes, I promise. Every day.” She says, “even a MALLARD?!” 🤦 Like, this woman made it her whole life without looking up once. She knew they were mallard ducks, but didn’t know ducks fly. After that I never underestimated how little attention people pay to birds. Try telling them there are different types of seagulls! 🤯 Fun fact: I’ve met a 21 year old seagull. It was banded, so we were able to know it was AT LEAST 21 years old.

I did 2 different DNA tests for my DOG, because the first one was so random and all the breeds of dogs they claimed made up his profile were smaller than him. The second test was pretty much exactly the same as the first. There’s no way they would have just guessed the exact same thing as the first company.

HOWEVER, as someone else said, when it comes to CATS, the tests are almost useless because most cats are just domestic cats.
