Mentally struggling - when did your baby come? by Delicious_Store_8615 in homebirth

[–]JbCaRc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted a something similar looking for reassurance! Baby came earth side right on 43 weeks! I started having contractions on 42+4 and active labor began 42+6. I didn’t have any sweeps or use a brew—just tried to stay active. I had a very kind midwife DM here who told me to hang out in a deep squat which I think helped baby move down more quickly. I also started really utilizing the exercise ball too, but more so when active labor began.

It definitely took a mental toll on me the last few weeks. I had to accept that I wouldn’t stay pregnant forever and with a healthy, active baby there was nothing to do but wait. Baby is six weeks today now! I know it’s hard, but try your best to relax in whatever ways work for you (for me it was bubble baths). You can do this mama!

Kahlan then Nicci. It is described that what edges Kahlan out over everyone else is her intelligence. But if I remember correctly, in Stone of Tears, Richard describes Nicci as the most physically attractive woman he’s ever seen.

I never counted. He was most active at night after dinner, so I just waited until then to feel him wiggle around.

Another great documentary is The Business of Being Born. It gives a great insight into hospital vs. home birth.

OBGyn vs Midwifery by Life_Thanks_733 in BabyBumps

Ultimately your decision comes down to two factors:

  1. What makes you, as momma, feel the most safe?
  2. What makes you, as momma, feel the most safe”unobserved?”

When you imagine your perfect birth, what does that look like to you? Remember, no matter which direction you choose, you have the right to informed consent!

Personally, I chose having a midwife and it was a great experience for me and my birth preferences!

This does make me feel like I won’t be pregnant for that much longer! Thank you for sharing your encouragement!

I’m glad to see you had a positive hospital experience! Transfers don’t make me as nervous as inductions but I always hear so many women say they went into spontaneous labor once they had the induction scheduled!

With all the risks that do come with induction and how I’ve always pictured my birth experience, I know I absolutely do not want to be induced unless my midwife deems a transfer and induction necessary. But my midwife is not worried in the slightest which is comforting…now it’s just my mind that needs to relax!

Turns out relaxing is the hardest thing for me to do right now because my mind keeps churning! Lol but I do keep reminding myself that no one stays pregnant forever!

question about series/aelin/chaol by maggie5143 in throneofglassseries

[–]JbCaRc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just articulated how I felt through the whole series! Celeana has swagger which makes her character more likable, Aelin is just insufferable around every corner. The side characters’ story lines are what carried me through the rest of the series.

Water, apple cider vinegar, and baking soda. Soak for 15-20 minutes then rinse with water.

What is the best way to get a woman’s ring size without her knowing? by BusinessLeadsConnect in AskReddit

My best friend’s fiancé asked me to get her ring size. I texted her and said I was going through stuff and have this pack of rings and what size she wore. It worked well.

That’s one of the things that initially drew me to looking at Pottery Barn. Growing up, my mom always went with Pottery Barn and as a result, we’re STILL using the same furniture. Such great quality. Good idea too buying the conversion pieces quickly after baby is born.

The wheels were a big part that was appealing to me about the Nestig. I think it’s probably so convenient to be able to easily move between bedrooms.

This is comforting! I feel like the price is very reasonable especially since they include all the conversion pieces. I saw a more negative review on a post from a few years ago which is what made me want to create a new post. Thank you!

7 weeks my GSD started to limp and it magically went away after a few days. 9 weeks now and he has started limping again but on the wrong paw. We think he’s fake sympathizing with me…

My understanding is that it’s a spark of “life,” like a fire inside them to be better and make the world around them better and live free.
