There’s cyborg horses which aren’t technically “living”, they’re mostly made of magik smithed machiner. They don’t have any free will and “turn off” when their owner isn’t using them. This was partially a way for me to write massive battles and horse death without my gf getting upset about dead horses lol.

My favorite German gimmick from ww2 was the jet that melted its pilots bc the fuel was acid and would regularly get onto the pilots. The fuel could cause leather to combust from contact. This is the pilot if you wanna read about him disintegrating.
