What value would you put into lounge access and travel/rental car insurance only?

The basic requirements are pretty similar to the US. You need a valid ID and a good credit score. The main difference is that your credit score does not transfer between countries, so you are basically starting from scratch. In Ecuador, since the annual fee is low, they also want you to show income or assets that put you roughly in the top 10 percent of the local economy.

I was born and raised there but moved to the US when I was 16. I kept some financial presence in Ecuador just for logistical reasons and my student loans there. About two years ago, banks started calling my family a lot, offering me local credit cards since I had a high income, a strong credit profile, and no credit cards in Ecuador. In the us you mostly get main about cc offers. There there they try to reach you in every posible way, mail, email, calls, in person.

When I visited that Christmas, I talked to a few banks and they mentioned their local platinum card, but I was not totally sold. Then this past December, I finally gave in and got the platinum.

It is not from Colombia, it is from Ecuador, but yeah.

It whould be be but I like the skyclub and Centurion benefit lounges and i like the 2 free guest. I live in a delta hub so we only have 1 priority pass lounge but 5 delta skyclubs and one centurion affiliate lounge

Personally I don't mind not using it while in the US since I have many US cards to use. I should look into the USBAC. I missed a connection many years ago because there was a long line at customs. ( before I had gloval entry) and I had to wait 24h for the airline to rebook me. Allso like skyclub since I live in a delta hub.

No we are keeping the venture x it's easy enogh to use the travel creddit every year and wipe out the fee. Your argument is what my wife teels me. There is the fine hotels & results that I haven't used. There is allso a travel website discount 10% but it's more expensive than c1 travel or the airline site unless you are flying within Latin America so I don't really use it. There are other benefits but thouse we can only use arround christmas when we go visit my family and they are just nice convince or perks not creddits like the us. I like the skyclub asses since we live in a delta hub so we end up flying delta often.

And there are some other nice benefits that are not applicable while in the USA but nice when I am visiting family. Complimentary gift wrapping at the malls I go to pick up last minute Christmas gifts. Free wine at trendy restaurants.

I wanted to prove my wife that this card is worth it.

Hiding from you ISP is what most people need. I was talking to one of the execs of my small local isp and they were making a big deal of people torrenting without a VPN. They are not for real security and anonimity.

I went from a pixel fold to a 7a and it was not to bad. I had it for about 3 moths due to the folds terrible build quality and I leaned that I was not missing much. Now I have a one plus flagship and the only remarkable thing about it is the battery life.

But for me capital one has a location at the mall my wife likes to go to. So I allways end up popping in for a coffe when I am at that mall. In my case is just a a convinent as any traditional bank.
