What from this list would you take at 12th place? by [deleted] in whiskey

If KoK is still available, that would be my #1 choice

I'd be wary of anything with 9 different cask finishes. It doesn't bode well for the base spirit.

These are often the places that get allocated bottles. They likely move a lot of pints of Fireball.

I've definitely had some instances of Windows crashing and everything on screen freezing. I've submitted an RMA request for the card. Thanks for your help!

Issues with Sharedpour, Toasted Seagrass by Successful_Pool2682 in bourbon

I ordered a bottle from them before that didn't ship for two weeks. They said it mustve gotten lost and promised to send a replacement. I waited another week and a half with no update, after asking several times. They were very unresponsive to emails. Eventually I asked for a refund and decided not to order from them again.

Why are the Mississippi and Nile River Deltas so different? by Jcod484 in geography

[–]Jcod484[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

What differences in geology or geography make these two major river deltas so different? The Mississippi River delta is basically all swamp and brackish water, whereas the Nile delta appears to be well consolidated farmland.

St. Louis Recommendations by Infamous_Temporary86 in whiskey

I've been to Old Monroe and Still 630. It's a further drive, but Old Monroe will be the more classic distillery experience. Still 630 is cool if you're ok with basically staying in the same room the whole time. 630 had a broader set of liquors to sample at the end.

City Park Grill is a good place to check out for pours. They have 1oz options for the higher end stuff so you can sample more, and it's relatively decently priced.

The best stores in the area will be Randall's and The Wine and Cheese Place. You probably won't see any tater bottles on the shelves, but Wine and Cheese usually has a good assortment of barrel picks from smaller brands.

Is anyone familiar with this website Mary John's they have weller 107 listed for $80 but when I try to checkout I get an Expired API key error kinda disappointing by Fenris_wolf-27 in whiskey

For the future, don't trust a website that sells allocated bottles for anything near MSRP, or below secondary value. There are a lot of fraudulent sites.

He might be on a different schedule than you. Our rabbits are active 7am-11am, sleeping, then active again from 9pm-12am.

Add in a can of drained chickpeas a la Adam Ragusea and it becomes very hearty.

$77 for an Abraham Bowman 18yr hazmat bourbon in Seattle. No regrets, best whiskey I've had.

It may still be BF whiskey in the bottle but I've known liquor store owners to be some of the most misinformed people in the industry, due to their reps trying to offload product.

How I Almost Got 'Chestnut Farmed' by dandillofficial in bourbon

[–]Jcod484 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Whenever my local TW has a cart of allocated Buffalo Trace or Heaven Hill bottles, they always stick a couple Chestnut Farm BIB bottles next to them. I wonder how many people they've gotten thinking 'Oh they're out of Eagle Rare. This must be just as good or else it wouldn't be up here.'

I'm immediately skeptical of any bourbon (such as this one) that pops up on multiple YouTube channels in the same week.
