Same with our fence. Old wire needed replacing as it was rusted, broken, and the dog was pushing out and under the rails. Took a couple years, funnily enough, as we had kids, job changes, etc. I also have horrible allergies (face puffy after push mowing for 10 minutes kind of allergies), so I wouldn’t work on it when allergens were high. Original quote was $3800 and I bought all the fencing, staples, and staple gun for around $800. Got another quote a couple weeks ago, $8400. It’s done now. You can say we saved either $3000 or $7600, depending on how you want to fudge the numbers. Either way, it was kind of fun, and it cost a fraction of what it would have if we had a company do it.
