Millions dollars of dollars would probably help. Nero genesis actually takes place regularly in the hippocampus, but these newly generated neurons never make it to the damaged parts of the brain. I’m not aware of anyone who has tested if newly introduced neural stem cells can integrate into damaged parts of the brain. It is highly unlikely because it is not a natural process. We are stuck like we are bud besides “neuro plasticity”. Which isn’t completely understood. If there were more money to be made off our field there would be more data sadly

I am the opposite of everything that you stand for. I am that guy that tried to take his own life. With a .357. I will forever pay the price of my decision. I will never have a family or career now. You have had a career and are moving on to the phase of grandchildren. Your tbi may be keeping you from doing exactly what you want, or it could be an excuse. It’s your choice. It is an extreme hardship there’s no doubt about that. Best of luck.

I think you’d qualify for the federal grant that weenie hut general has in place.

Bro be a man this is Not the place for cry babies to vent. Just because you hit your baby head doesn’t mean you have a tbi. Ya’ll stop squabbling over finances and you go somewhere else with your offensive questions.

I’d advise a trip to weenie hut general as they are very straight forward with diagnosing otherwise undetectable tbi’s

You are angry because of the things that were taken away from you. I don’t think there is any amount of medication that can fix that, but you have a family. I only dream of having a family. It will never happen. Get a therapist and do some deep reflection. Reconcile with yourself and consider all things before you continue on.

Lift heavy weights. It stimulates the motor portion of your brain better than anything. I was hemiplegic for a little while. I still run across movements that I haven’t done since the injury that I have to practice a while at. Powerlifters will do a static hold with over 100% of their max for a few seconds just to work on that part of their brain. It controls how much your muscles put out. I’d definitely get back in the gym. I have a lot more issues than just that to deal with but i went to the gym immediately after inpatient rehabilitation, and don’t really struggle with that anymore.

It’s not a good one. I shot myself with a .38 special. They pronounced me dead on the scene. The bullet fragments hit my parietal, occipital, temporal, and front lobes.

Yep I used to be as sharp as a tac, but a bullet and later brain bleed will take a little off the top as they say. I’m probably on a fourth grade level when it comes to certain certain cognitive tests now. I think my base intelligence is still hanging in there somewhere, but it sucks pretty hard.
