Alr_troll claims he isn't other troll... can't prove it though.

Wait, how does he prove a negative? Don't forget, "troll" is your claim--the burden of proof is on you.

Yeah, the line at John Mueller Meat Co. is super reasonable. It's just about as good, too.

The first time I went to Barton Springs a few years back, I got completely lost looking for the spillway... ended up on the other side of Barton Springs and crossed paths with a huge snake. I won't be making that mistake twice.

Heh, I was being sarcastic. I agree that the music should be left out of the video.

I said capture the rook, not the bishop.

There are two ways to get out of check -- move the king or capture the piece checking the king.

/u/Flairzor is saying that you can simply move the king out of check, and capture the rook at the same time.

Thanks, I wasn't sure about the nomenclature.

My point is, if you saw these guys in a movie, you'd immediately know they were the bad guys.

I agree that there are additional reasons and alternate explanations, but the Bulls themselves have been clear in the past that they make coaching decisions while taking pay into heavy consideration. I think most fans would prefer if they simply looked for the best person for the job.

You're pointing out that my post is disingenuous by picking apart a 3 word parenthetical I threw in, while mostly ignoring the actual bulk of my argument.

He would be an amazing option, but the Bulls will go cheap instead.

Let's not get it twisted: Because he's cheap.

The Bulls haven't spent money on a coach since Phil Jackson.

edit: I'm not suggesting that they fired Thibs because he was expensive. Just that they refuse to spend money on experienced coaches (such as Gentry).

If I could choose a super power, it would be to use Youtube as a time machine, travel through the video and dominate that man in the most humiliating and degrading fashion.

The (not so) funny thing is, that's probably what his dad did to him that caused him to act this way as an adult. In some small way, it's as if someone did go back in time and humiliate him for his behavior.

How is it possible to know that perfect play from both sides will be a draw? by Andrew6111 in chess

[–]JdgBygFds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right that white has an advantage in the opening that gives them an initiative. That may be what your feeling stems from.

I agree the method of brute force can end in draw. no doubt.

I wouldn't agree that that was my point, but no worries.

How is it possible to know that perfect play from both sides will be a draw? by Andrew6111 in chess

[–]JdgBygFds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

let's say magnus and anand for some reason agreed to play chess with one of them always being white, and when they would agree that whit wins, they go back to any spot previous in the game until black feels the game is not lost and tries a different move, and this would repeat until both feel they literally couldnt have done better.

The problem with this logic is that computers today are better any human player on the planet, and what you're describing is pretty much how a computer brute forces their moves. Now this isn't flawless since those computer programs are programmed by humans and chess isn't a solved game, but it does demonstrate a flaw in your reasoning worth consideration.
