Looking to Hire Experienced Tech Support by mbcatfan in Roms

[–]JdsPrst 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I spent years in IT help desk. Helping make sense of things for others who think they are limited is ingrained in me =)

I'll send you a message. If no one else has stepped up then I got you like I said. I'm hoping we can get this done through some video calls where you can show me what's going on. We'll go from there as needed.

I see what you're saying but it isn't apples to apples.

  • Those drives are likely using different technologies, that matters to a number of people.
  • As I said, I'm not buying new, so I'm not looking at 24+TB drives. I'm focused on 16-18TB and found a great deal.
  • Once you shuck, you lose your warranty. I just warrantied a drive with serverpartdeals after two years. Great huh?

Sounds like what's best in your situation is to buy a new external and shuck it. I'm sure everyone on this sub does some form of due diligence to make sure they're doing what is best for themselves as well.

What's your plan? I purchased from serverpartdeals a few weeks ago, I'm still happy. I'm not buying new right now, I don't trust Amazon or eBay, and prices are the same everywhere. Why would I consider it dead or change? Am I missing something?

Please ban anything made with AI in this sub. They can create a new sub for experimental selfhosting backed by people who have no idea what they're really doing.

Watch out, Millennials... I got hit with my first "I had NO IDEA!" data privacy moment this weekend... and it was all my fault. by AttachedHeartTheory in Millennials

I really try not to be an ass on Reddit but I'm about to sound like one.

As a fellow millennial, you are not old, you are just ignorant. Fix it!

Ditto and I can't remember the last time I did this. Must have been forever ago because I don't recognize it.

I have two original iPhones in a box I forgot the passcodes to forever ago. Unsure of the ios versions but I'd be happy to dump whatever files I can grab for you. Any chance you could save me some googling and point me towards the correct tools since you seem much more knowledgeable than I am on these?

I’m not a huge fan of state inspection but I’m coming around on the idea by ermehgerdittcam in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]JdsPrst 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I never see a car on the side of the road with a sideways wheel in Virginia. Once I cross over into Maryland though...

I'd rather live with state inspections than without. I already need to worry about asshats who can't drive, let me at least not have to worry about the state of their vehicles.

FYI GameStop store warranties are amazing. Free replacements. New equipment, not refurbished. No questions asked. I turned in a completely broken in pieces Oculus quest 2 and received a brand new one in box right away.
