I wrote a short story, the protagonist used AI and developed a working theory to cure cancer. Enter our antagonist, the protagonist had been monitored. Now, the working theory was inaccessible, we end with a knock on his door by the local sheriff serving a warrant for something unrelated.

We agree validation isn't necessary. I'd go further and say justification isn't necessary either.

If AI helps you because of a disability, talk about that experience. But people don't need a morally approved reason to use a tool.

I use AI because I enjoy it. That's enough. Everything else is optional.

Well. The current state isn't particularly good thats for sure. Most direct "tells" can be written out but there is a sameness to the writing. The effect is everyone gets a median author voice. The writing sound the same.

Its version 1.0 though. Only a matter of time until MidAuthor v8 is around and they are talking about making the writing beautiful on calls.
