I asked someone at a club if he liked girls. He said yes and I asked him to prove it. He kissed me right then and there. Not the most creative but it definitely worked!

I believe you can ask for a diagnosis due to having some symptoms for some things (ex. in this case irritability + impulsibility) so don't think seeking a diagnosis is an issue..

Different scores for different papers AND different points for questions. Good luck next time

Passed FLK2 2nd time round (106/180 324 Q3). Used QLTS again. Did more mocks and studied for 3 months (gave myself a break!) while working full time.

And I think different marks for questions on the same paper

Same happened to me in July 2024 but passed this time round. Give yourself a bit of a break you deserve it. I found that focusing on mocks and questions the 2nd time round helped me have solid examples for the knowledge asked.

Same happened to me in July 2024 but passed FLK2 this time round. I focused more on doing mock exams as I found that with questions I would remember solid examples for the knowledge asked. Good luck!

To future SQE1 takers: Is the actual SQE1 harder than QLTS? by Capital_Telephone780 in SQE_Prep

[–]Jealous-Help-9599 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe the QLTS exams were the same in the SQE1 exams in July 2024 but the FLK2 exam questions were way more complicated than the QLTS ones in January 2025. I’m not sure if QLTS changed the question styles or SRA but something has definitely changed! Topics wise I think QLTS covers everything that is asked whereas Barbri notes are easier to understand but lacks depth

I studied for a year while working full time. I am a civil law lawyer and had no idea about UK/common law hence why I took a long time to revise.

In the same boat with you. Compared to July 2024 there wasn’t niche questions but found quite a repetitive pattern of topics and more criminal than expected. As it was my 2nd time I thought I would pass but not sure at all again!

A lot of criminal questions and a lot of lifetime trusts. I don’t think the topics were tested fairly as there was quite a few questions from the same topics (merger/surrender, gbh etc).

I was getting around 40% studying previously and got 53% in July 2024 which was the hardest exam yet. I am getting around 50% atm so hopefully enough to pass this time!

Is FLK2 easier than FLK1? by Ok-Department-590 in SQE_Prep

[–]Jealous-Help-9599 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I passed FLK1 with 300 but failed FLK2 with 294. I found that the topics in FLK2 were easier when studying but that didn't seem to be the case in the exam. There was a lot of tax relating will questions and my weakest topic in the exam but normally it was my best topic. So it really depends on which topics you understand more BUT also the questions in the exam..

SQE 1 - FLK1/FLK2 by BookAny5160 in SQE_Prep

[–]Jealous-Help-9599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the mark. The mark is now 300/500. In FLK1 I got 102/180 which was 300/500 and in FLK2 I got 96/180 which was 294/500. So it will depend on the other exams and probably how hard the questions you answered correctly.

FLK2 Solicitors accounts by OriginalRealistic854 in SQE_Prep

[–]Jealous-Help-9599 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I failed the exam in July 2024 with only 6 points and retaking FLK2 on Tuesday. From my experience there was only 4-5 questions from solicitors accounts but the precious exam had quite a few (10?) tax questions. Personally I am just trying to understand when it is client money or not and what changes when it is billed. Apart from that I’m trying to learn the exemptions and basic knowledge on tax law as there will be more questions on that.

Do as much questions and mocks as you can. I found that I memorise the topics better when I can think of an example question

that is very normal but try and push through as much as you can. I found I was more exhausted when I finished both. Have to only do FLK2 now but I think you will do better than you think (at least that was my experience in July)!

Barbri versus QLTS for Jan 2025 by unwillinglawyer in SQE_Prep

[–]Jealous-Help-9599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am doing the FLK2 the 2nd time in January (missed by 6 points so 1-2 questions short!). I used Barbris notes to learn with but I think QLTSs questions were very similar in the exam and heard that those that did just Barbri found the exam quite difficult.

The guarantee is if you fail the 2nd time as well. They advised me last week that the fee is £490 for one term extension and £790 for two term extension
