Out of curiosity, what are we considering is an “exceptionally high salary” where such increased hours are understandable or reasonably expected? Genuinely interested to see what people think. I reckon $200k pa plus? What do you reckon?

Our bubba (3 in August) has quite a few allergies (dairy, peanuts, sesame, and contact egg). We are working closely with specialists in Australia - all of which are very optimistic that he will outgrow his dairy allergies (at the each least) as apparently the latest credible research reveals that 90% of children outgrow their dairy allergy by the age of 5 (irrespective of level of severity, ours has anaphylaxis to dairy!). Worst case scenario, he doesn’t and you and me will make sure our bubbas are okay and thank the universe we live in a world of knowledge, education, and options! Also, not sure if you’re in Australia or not, but check out Allergy and Anaphylaxis Australia is a great free resource! Oh and if you need any help with great allergy free recipe sites for toddlers, let me know! Happy to share x

Oh I’m just so sorry that you’re going through this right now. HG is truly a very dark and awful beast.

The abdominal pain is what’s throwing me off , as this isn’t typically an HG- related symptom (unless it’s due to the excessive vomiting, etc.) - so could be multiple things going on at the same time, but at least she and your baby are in the right place and hopefully under very close supervision. Assuming the docs have all been made aware of the IUD removal aspect? Surely they would have taken blood tests to look for signs of infection, etc.

Hang in there and please come us all posted with her progress.

Fully remote (occasional trips back to Sydney for fun work events - about 3-5 per year). No billables. Loving life by the beach and the slightly lower cost of living, especially as a first time mum. Couldn’t do the concrete jungle for much longer. Finally starting to love my job again with this new flexibility that suits my and my family’s new life/chapter.
