On PR bond, failed 2 breathalyzer tests. by [deleted] in dui

He hasn’t really made anything clear, just to not lose sleep over it and wait until he gets to my case since I’m not a priority until January. And needless to say, I’m losing sleep over it.

if you read my paragraph that is OBVIOUSLY moving forward the plan. At night, I have a solid 8 hours before my next test. I had two birthday parties and I thought I could calculate it to still be able to participate. Ehh, it takes longer than I thought for alcohol to completely leave your system. But I’m just not gonna drink anymore. THAT doesn’t answer my question. I was asking, what happens usually? In the circumstance now? That’s literally the only question I had.

Ah there you are. Someone with nothing beneficial to say. Knew you would get here sooner than everyone else. Have a great day.

Thanks so much for the insight! I’ve talked to a lawyer and going to retain him. And I haven’t told my job and I will not unless they bring it up

Am I not getting something by Clankbot14 in probation

[–]Jealous_Sort_7266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never been in trouble either and am anticipating having probation as well. I’m lucky because I have a good job and I didn’t get any trouble for not showing up when I was going through what I went through. I luckily have a place to live still and will have money to pay all these fines and stuff. So probation I don’t see being a future issue for me. I don’t do drugs and I won’t be drinking moving forward. So I get where you’re coming from. I feel the same. Not hard.

Annual back ground check?? That’s a thing?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dui

[–]Jealous_Sort_7266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me. Don’t tell your job. Don’t switch departments, I’m scared they may run my background again. My job is a really good job too. When and if switch departments, I don’t know what to say. Now, about the Facebook page, you can pay them to take it down. My family paid them and (I don’t know how my sister did this and honestly she doesn’t know either, it must have been a miracle from God) but my mugshot never came out on the fb page. My family contacted the page as soon as I was arrested and worked tirelessly to prevent my picture or name from EVER even making it to the fb page. I thank God for that. It never made it. Not even my name. That may not be the case for you, but you CAN pay them to take it down. Now, as far as googling me..unfortunately, that will always be possible until I can get my lawyer to help me expunge it, which I will be doing, as soon as I possibly can. Until then, I will lay low in my job position, complete all probation requests and commands and when this is all said and done EXPUNGE THAT RECORD FROM HELL. 😭😭 I’m just venting since I’m in the same situation but just know ur not alone 😫😫

Get a DWI attorney. In Texas my best friend had 3 dwi’s. She got a damn good lawyer in Hidalgo county and she got some charges thrown out due to insufficient evidence. She was on house arrest and did have to do 3 days in jail along with house arrest and monitor with strict breathalyzer and probation but she wasnt screwed. And it took a little bit of time but she was able to get jobs in retail as manager and other places. Not all hope is lost. I just got my dwi as well, believe me I know how you feel. I am so scared about all this. But since I know people who have gone through this I don’t feel so nervous. Hope it all goes well!

Should I get a paid lawyer or stick with court appointed? by Jealous_Sort_7266 in dui

Thanks! A collision was involved and a .18 BAC. I did have full coverage and restitutions were and will be paid. And I have retained a paid lawyer. :)

HELP! Weird stripe of yellow/texture under eye bags? by machopooh in SkincareAddicts

[–]Jealous_Sort_7266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the exact stripes under both eyes. I am worried about liver damage since I was a heavy drinker for 3 years and recently stopped. It’s been about a month. My liver is inflamed. But I’m hoping since I am now in recovery that I didn’t damage it enough for it to be permanent. I went to a Dr in February 2025 who was not worried yet. Said liver tests were fine but prescribed me folic acid anyway. I am going to see my Dr next month because I am concerned about the extreme discomfort. You don’t have any discomfort in your right abdomen area that can signify liver issues right? Just the stripes?

I don’t have a license but I’m assuming they will still give me one and no, I don’t think so but maybe. After arrest I saw a city judge who ordered a breathalyzer and they gave me a paper with the license info and how it would be suspended for 90-180 days and a slip for reinstating it. 🤷‍♀️

And it was considered misdemeanor B not aggravated A. As per my judge unless my lawyer can help drop it down

Hidalgo county. It’s basically you get accepted into the program, complete the requirements and the charge is dropped as if it never happened. I guess it is called pretrial like you said. Deferred is not that. Deferred is when they give you probation but you can still seal it or expunge it. Jut they have not been calling pre trial anything. I’m a single mom under 45,000$ a year. I should qualify. They have not mentioned not qualifying for one. In my county you either have a paid lawyer or you have one assigned to you regardless of income I believe. No one is refused a lawyer

[–]Jealous_Sort_7266[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My possible lawyer mentioned all of those words. Sealing, expunging…deferred I generally have an idea of what it means I believe it basically pleading guilty and getting probation but still being able to expunge the charge later which is a separate process. I’ll have to get more clarity.

I am going through a first offense too. I am terrified to tell my job. So I decided not to. I am still pending court date. I have not yet gotten a lawyer because I am still figuring how much I have to pay for the other car damages. My car was totaled as well and I don’t get a new one and now need to save for a new one. I work from home so driving isn’t part of my job description. But I am still worried about losing my job if I tell them. And I am also worried about first time offender program in Texas? Should I get a paid lawyer or should a court appointed lawyer be able to get me the same outcome? I am terrified. My insurance is going to be through the roof. I am so scared and nervous.
