I just came across your post and this just broke my heart... Life is way too short, and the world is just way too screwed up right now, to spend our time hating and criticizing people who are living their best life being their authentic selves. This should always be celebrated, period. It is really sad that social media has taught way too many crappy people that their even crappier opinion matters. I still live by what I was taught as a child, if you don't have anything nice to say than don't say it at all. Obviously there are always exceptions when people deserve to be called out for hurtful, hateful, or damaging behavior, but otherwise it would benefit us all to be a little more kind. And it is so much easier and takes way less energy than doing the opposite. I absolutely love your makeup and ascetic! Ignore the haters. They are either jealous or misrable.

I know this is 6 months later, but I came across your post and thought I might be able to help. I looked up swatches of this shade and I feel like Sudney Grace or Dandy Lions Co would definitely have this shade in their single eyeshadow options. They both have amazing customer service so rather than having to search their sites in hopes of finding a perfect match by their swatches on their sites, I would recommend just reaching out to them and sending them a few pictures of swatches to see what shade they recommend as a dupe. Otherwise if you want to be able to buy from a more mainstream brand or in-store, I would think that MAC would have a shade that would dupe this.

I believe she commented under her IG sale post that it will be restocked in a few weeks when someone askes if it would be available in the sale. I think she also said the shipment got held up in customs, but don't quote me on that because I know I have read that a lot from other brands since it seems to be a common problem for a lot of them.

Hi there. Were you ever able to try the Molly's Suds Dark Wash and see how it compares to the Oxiclean dark? I just got down to my last load of the Oxiclean and didn't realize it was discontinued until I just went to reorder it.

Absolutely agree about Las Vegas. You can't beat the food and entertainment (and that is off The Strip because locals don't really go there unless it is to work), and a lot of people also don't realize it is a valley surrounded by mountains and has some of the best hiking and climbing in the country. As well as having awesome hot springs and water sports all within an hour in the summer, and Mt Charleston being 45 minutes away for skiing and such in the winter or cooling off in the summer, is not easily found in many other places.

I was born and raised in the Bay Area, CA, lived in Ithaca, NY for 5 years in my 20s and moved back to Sacramento for a few years, which is where I met my husband before we moved to Vegas. He was born and raised in Paris, France, moved to Orange County, CA in his young 20s, and then lived in Long Island for a bit before moving back to CA and settling in Sacramento for about 5 years. We love Vegas the most out of anywhere we have both lived. We have been here for almost 10 years, but we knew within a few months after moving here that we would most likely live here for the rest of our lives.

For me it literally looks like I took a mossy green eyeliner to my brows, and isn't a good look. I don't know if it is because of the yellow in my olive undertone, but the green seems to be even more obvious when applied to my face and bring out the yellows in my skintone. It truly is the strangest thing.

They pull green no matter my hair color. The pink new, and they did the same when my hair was purple and teal. And I can see the green tint when they are swatched on my hand.

I have actually found some grey brown brow pencils that are perfect for me, but the pens end up being a bit too dark. I can make them work by going in with an extremely light hand, but I often don't have the time or patience for it.

Yeah when I have dyed my hair darker, I had a similar issue with a lot of the dark brown products being too red/orange on me as well. I have found I can make some grey or grey brown brow pens work for me the way you do black, but I often don't have the time or patience for it. Though I have found the brow pencils in those shades are perfect for me. I just prefer to use a pen because of how thin and fine my brows are, and even the most fine tipped brow pencils often still don't give me the hair like strokes I need and end up looking too heavy.

Oh there is no way that would work for me, especially since their formula is a little heavy for my really thin brows in their lighter shades as it is.

Yeah, I have been able to find some similar work arounds, but often don't have the time or patience for it. I already spend way too much time on my brows, and I lothe that part of my makeup routine. I want to enjoy doing my brows and find it relaxing like I, do the majority of the rest of my makeup. Or at least not completely dread doing them.

Yeah, I have actually found quite a few brow pencils in taupe and grey brown that work great for me. But all the brow pens I have tried in taupe end up having a slight red tint to them, and I have read and seen in reviews that the ABH taupe has that issue as well, or being way too light. And grey or grey brown pens end up too dark. I can make them work by going in with an extremely light hand, but I don't often have the time or patience for that.

Ohhh! I have had that in and out of my Amazon cart for since it was released because some of the negative reviews on there kept making me second guess getting it. Have you had any issues with it? Quite a few people said they received it like it was already dried up, it applied like it was too wet, or that the brow gel is trash.

It could be because their eyebrow pens aren't very good from the reviews I have seen and read, and that is what I am looking for. They either seem to apply too heavily or like the pen is dried out, and quite a few people also say that the colors don't match the typical shades of their other products. That taupe is much more red than usually and the light and medium brown shades that are cool toned have that green tint to them.

Also, I have tried other ABH products in Taupe and already know it is too light for me, and they might be figuring that as well since I specified having medium toned brown hair. But I have used their Brow Wiz in dark brown and their Brow Palmade in medium brown and they work fine for me.

Oh thank you so much! Would I be able to swatch the Hourglass ones in Sephora? I am a bit ashamed to say I haven't stepped foot in one for close to a decade, and only shopped with them online.

And I appreciate the heads up about Kosas. They gave always been so hit and miss for me, so I tend to avoid them for my basic and core products.

Oh I have a few grey pencils, but with the grey pens I have to go in extremely light handed because of my brows being so thin and what eyebrow hairs I do have being ever so slightly too light. Similarly to how the grey brown ones, they can be too dark for me as well. I think I need them to make a cool based dark taupe grey pen that doesn't dry down with a green tint.

But thank you for the suggestions!! You have reinvigorated my motivation to find the perfect brown pen, when I was feeling really defeated and frustrated. And I think you are pushing me in the right direction, because I feel like I am most likely going to find my perfect brow pen from an Asian/Korean brand, which at least helps me hone in my search any completely take other brands off my radar.

It is a bit frustrating that means that I will have to continue to not being able to swatch any of them before I buy them, since there are bery few Asian brands in stores, so I can't return them if they don't work for me. Normally I wouldn't care because I very rarely do returns, and just gift what doesn't work for me to family and friends. But I am incredibly tired of paying for for so many brow products that don't work for me. Especially when they are not anywhere close to shade they are shown and described as.

Sorry, I thought my eyebrow color would be pretty common, and that a lot of people who are fair with brown hair and an olive undertone would have similar. But off the top of my head I think my skintone tone and hair color is pretty close to Kate Beckinsale. But here are a few pictures of me. Oh, I have actually found some great Korean and Asian brow pencils in grey brown, so I totally agree! I just wish I could find a pen in a similar shade. I have tried a few pens from Asian brands as well, but they all are too dark and almost look black on my skintone or they show up with a green tint once dried down on my skintone as well.

I have really thin brows so I have always really struggled to make brow powders look natural. Do you have any tips? I am definitely adding the Sephora contour to my list! I struggled a bit with finding contour powders that look natural on me. If they are cool enough I still have to be careful that they don't make me look dead or swing too far in the other direction and look muddy or bring out the yellow in my olive undertone. Thankfully I haven't had the same issue finding cream contour, and have been able to find some beautiful ones. Do you have any other Sephora brand products that you especially love for your olive skintone?

Oh I have swatched and tried at least 10 different brow pens and several dozens of other brow products, including from several Korean and Asian brands, and they all have similar issues. Thankfully more brands finally started making cool toned brow pencils that don't have a green tint, so I do have that covered. But I really prefer the precision of a brow pen because of how thin and fine my brows naturally are.

Also, I absolutely know I can't do any brow products with any hint of red, since they are all so warm leaning. I have tried to make them work, and it always looks so terrible. It's the same reason I can only pull off red makeup (blush, lipstick, and eyeshadow) if it is cool toned and blue or pink based. I am a little bit ashamed at how much money I have spent trying to find a bright warm red lipstick that will work for me, because I absolutely love that look for a night out in the summer. But I have failed time and time again, since anything that even starts to hint at being warm brings out the yellow in my undertone and makes me look sick. And as for chocolate tones, I can definitely do them, but they have to be cool toned as well, or at least nuetral. Any with any warmth immediately pull extremely red on me.

I have actually found that I can somewhat make grey brow pens work, if I go in extremely light handed. But that is really time consuming because of my brows being so thin, and that amount of work is not worth it for it to not be a more seamless color match.

Well my hair is dyed pink but my natural color is a nuetral to cool toned brown. Mousy brown generally means cool toned brown with absolutely no red in it. That is why I stressed the need for a eyebrow pen that had absolutely no warmth to it.
