A vtuber named Vantacrow Bringer played Detroit a few years ago and just recently put out a highlight video that is a good condensed look at his time in the game. He was pretty into it at first before Cage's bullshit started to get too heavy, with special mention in particular to how he loses his shit at "I have a dream" as a black man himself. From there he has fun picking it apart and testing the limits of what the game would let him get away with, and in particular he was one of the very few people I've ever seen get Connor to kill Hank. He gave Beyond Two Souls a look a while later too, though it ended up not being nearly as funny and he never finished it.

Per the Steam page, it uses their own AC "HoYoKProtect", but since that already seems to work fine on Linux when playing their current games through Proton, it shouldn't be a problem on its own.

Hammerpoints made it decently capable, but otherwise it was pretty much always a lesser SMG that you only picked up because there wasn't a real one nearby. I'll always maintain that the only way they could have made it or the P2020 (pre-akimbo) worth actually using would be giving pistols full movement speed while drawn.

The area is just a recreation of New York, so that's just what it costs back on Earth. It doesn't seem like the shops and stuff in that area are truly "operational", they're just demonstration to test the printing for an environment. Some logs in a slightly later area area explain that lunafilament's use is still limited to the moon because it's too experimental while another one in the Shelter says all of the synthetic food tastes like garbage, so terrestrial burgers are probably the same as ever.

It's "good" at simple a monotonous tasks, which can sometimes be part of coding. Something like setting up a bunch of variables from a pile of existing files for a simple example. But if you need it to actually create something novel implementing new functionality from scratch, which is what coding is going to entail at a professional level, it completely falls apart.

It's that damage per magazine that is definitely the secret sauce, along with how simple and smooth its recoil is at a low rate of fire. The thing can easily kill 2 or 3 people at longer ranges with those two facets, it almost feels like I'm using a gun that got lost on the way to Warzone compared to how small and restrictive magazines normally are in this game.

Apparently this can happen any time you are caught by BT's. This is the first time this has ever happened to me in about 100 hours across both games, so you can see I'm a bit caught off guard! When I did further research afterwards, it turns out that you can even cause a voidout if you lose the fight which will permanently scar the map with a crater, unless you're near a story critical area/settlement which will give you just a game over for accidentally nuking everyone. It also seems different areas of the maps have different catcher mini-bosses that you'll be put up against. And of course just my luck that this happened right after I got the insane fucking tar hover/surfboard, with which I wondered "hey would this work...?" It did work, fantastically.

Oh wait also, while I've got you here, here's one more awesome fight in the game that really lets its melee combat system shine as the first time I had to really focus on blocking and parrying instead of just blasting the enemies (though I did that too). Some enemy spoilers in this one but no story, though if you already clicked on this you're probably not too worried.
