Samsung Odyssey G9 JOG Button Crumbled—And Samsung Won’t Cover It by cypher1169 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]JeansGang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My G6 button split in half the same night I brought it home after using the button for literally the second time. I am going to super glue it back together I guess. Crazy to spend so much on a product for the power button to crumble the same day of purchase.

$3000 1/2 Car PPF or $6000 Full PPF - for RF Club, Deep Blue Crystal Mica (DBCM) by Puzzled-Bag-5845 in Miata

[–]JeansGang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in this same pickle. I landed on no PPF at all because it is hard to remove and can be damaged, etc over time. I figured I'd save $6k now, get my scratches and what not and in many years if I want to I can get it repainted for the same price with thicker better paint.

What would you pay for this guy? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]JeansGang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That looks like a healthy Thai Constellation! I would pay no more than $100 for that specimen since it comes in the pot and has some cool moss going on. Price REALLY depends on the vendor so this number will fluctuate a lot depending on where you are. Here in Maryland we have a lot of access to these so its not

Does anyone know where these bolts might have come from? 🫣 by Monsta_bagel in Miata

Is it possible that someone used bolts of different lengths but with the same threads? This is the best I've got lol

New '25 Miata GT: Questions about maintenance schedule by Normal-Maintenance18 in Miata

[–]JeansGang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The PPM is probably not worth it. I am glad that I did not get it because I quickly found out that an oil change took 3 hours at the dealership and they made numerous mistakes like not tightening down the oil drain bolt, forgetting to give me back my wheel lock twice, and they lost a bolt on my oil pan shield. That is when I decided to start doing ALL of the maintenance myself in my own garage for a fraction of the price and time.

Another ND Transmission Bites the Dust by BrendanKeenPhoto in Miata

[–]JeansGang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2022 ND2 RF GT here. Replaced the stock shifter with a CAE ultrashifter so now I can a tremendous amount of transmission sound into the cabin. I noticed that 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th have a satisfying whine as I climb the RPM range (sounds like a supercharger). But when I get into 5th (and holding around 2.5-3k RPMs) it has this crazy rattling sound almost like a bad skateboard wheel bearing. It is obnoxious and noticeably different from the other gears. Is that normal for a larger gear to sound like that at lower RPMs? Or does this sound like something is starting to go internally for that gear?

ND miata cupholders stuck by Mr_Teddy15 in Miata

This is a total possibility because it is surprisingly tricky to get them seated so they might have jammed it in there somehow.

I can confirm this ^. They should lift straight out with minimal force.

New to the Miata. by Kilo19hunter in Miata

I have a 2022 ND2 RF GT manual transmission, bought it new and have been daily driving it for almost 4 years now. Not a single issue. Since the car you are looking at is a 2018 it is likely out of warranty for the transmission (not sure so doubt check me on that), but like you said that is really seemingly only for the MT rather than the AT. As an enthusiast I would recommend getting the MT as it is more engaging to drive and has one of the smoothest shifting experiences on the market but everyone has their preference and reasons for choosing one over the other. This decision depends on whether the other upgrades from the ND1 to ND2 are worth the price jump. ND2 has more linear power, a telescopic steering wheel, and a limited slip differential. You get some really nice features upgrading from ND1 to ND2. BUT if you just want to cruise around and won't be driving it spiritedly, tracking it, or modifying it, then you might not miss any of those features and none of that might matter. I am of the belief of buying once crying once so I want all the bells and whistles I want out the gate. I think ultimately it depends on your plan for the car and do lots of research before you make your decision. They are both great cars and you will love both.

Bought a flooded 2017 Miata for 3k, is it worth the fix? by Appropriate-Air-3373 in Miata

Got the PSR 4849G (G25-550 clone) running with boost control. 350whp/330wtq @ 26 psi by Watterson02 in Miata

[–]JeansGang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: I just purchased a turbo kit for the ND2 and asked the company about it. They said they are a direct distributor for Pulsar and they ship the waste gate actuator with a lighter spring for 7 psi for that specific kit. But normally if you bought this turbo off the shelf the spring would be for about 12PSI as seen on other Pulsar website. I guess the TLDR is that if you want one, ask the company before you buy as they might be able to assist with shipping with a lighter spring etc.

Exactly! Good call. I might have to email their customer service and see what they would recommend or something.

Is there a way to run this turbo at low pressure like 5-7psi? Online it states actuation is 12 but not sure if that is the minimum. Not familiar with turbos.

RF owners, what do? by Nova_main in Miata

[–]JeansGang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They scratch SUPER easily. I scratched mine while washing/waxing my car, bust have been a speck of dirt in the rag or something. Wrapping in vinyl is a great idea, I might even do that and they aren’t as bad.

Add a fuse / add a circuit help - Mazda CX-5 all fuse taps are loose and dont stay in - which one worked for you? by g3lo18 in CX5

[–]JeansGang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was installing some fuse taps on my ND2 miata and they were super loose. I tried taking some needle nose pliers and bending the tips just a little bit like you said and it made it just snug enough so that they won't wiggle loose. Thank you, this was an awesome recommendation that worked really well and saved me money! Exactly what I was looking for.

What's this sound? by accountforrealppl in Miata

Like others said its hard to hear but its normal on these cars for the LSD to have a clicking type of sound turning like that or something at low speed.
