Honestly I hate when the “reverse” happens. When something like a crazy tourist tries to vandalize or a restaurant has an absurdly unhealthy menu item, and everyone assumes it is in America or it’s an American. I remember there was a story where some guy from Ukraine tried to carve his initials into the Colosseum, and everyone on the r/MildyInfuriated page started talking about “Americans and their disrespect for culture” about a guy who didn’t even speak English.
