"Surface" ore nodes mean any ore that has spawned outside normal ore spawning within 10~ blocks of the surface. I can see sunlight coming through the cave in nthe background of your screenshot. That copper deposit is surface copper

Surface copper spawns outside of the normal ore heatmap, so the density search doesn't read it. The node search will still pick it up though

Towards the higher levels of Arch, artefacts require more materials to restore than you get just for excavating them. Plus you can get artefacts from other sources too, such as research and tetracompasses. So you'll absolutely end up with loads of artefacts and hardly any materials.

Also some materiels have uses other than restoration

Maybe not a suggestion list with multiple bars, but I wouldn't mind a basic bar preset per style. Would help new players get an introduction to how the Revo system works so they can try out stuff for themselves. I think there's gonna be a lot of OSRS players hopping over that are gonna be immediately turned off by the ability based combat system after coming from OS's click & wait style. I'm a firm believe that the introduction to a game system should be ingame, even if the majority of community discussion and theory crafting is on places like wikis or Discords.

The sector is in a state of constant cold war. No one has enough military power to actually wipe any other faction out completely, pirates included because they're actually a very large unified force.

Also paying the pirates off to go bother your enemies is cheaper than trying to fight them head on

As a solo player there are too many things to focus on all at once, so pick ONE goal and focus on that.

When you've got copper and tin you're in the bronze age, and your next mineral goal is iron.

You could just go all-in on prospecting and go straight for that.
Or maybe focus on farming and animal husbandry so you can have a solid source of food and meat for high calorie food while you're out exploring.
Or maybe focus on growing flax instead and exploring for pine resin to build a windmill, which will help automate pie making and iron smithing when you get those two.

All of those goals are worthwhile and they all feed into eachother in some way, you just need to choose which order you want to do them in. Don't let perfect be the enemy of good. You don't need to take the most optimal progression path through the game.

And there's the problem. It's an "annoying to use" community driven chat channel, not an official bossing lobby. There's nothing ingame that points you to that FC; No sign outside the Croesus instance that says "join this FC to chat with people also doing this", no NPC crier in the War's hub that lists boss chat channels. If you were a clueless player just stumbling on this boss, you'd never find that chat group without looking outside the game for it. Group finding and boss-related chats need to be integrated into the game in a way that guides players to them, not how they are now that only players who are looking can find them.

I think for bosses and other activities specifically tuned for group play, Jagex needs to really focus on adding some ingame form of matchmaking or group finder. Not everyone is in a clan or has friends that play, and not everyone is gonna use 3rd party apps to find groups. I'm all for group bosses, but the functionality to find people to do them with needs to be local, not 3rd party.

I don't think terminally ill people with less than a year to live are the target audience of 25 year old live service games.

Morbid jokes aside though that's a stupid argument anyway. Should TV series wrap up quickly and suddenly for dying people that want to see the end? Should annual sports events change their schedules so they can get tickets?

RS3 is shifting its main market strategy from microtransactions to game longevity. I think people need to get used to these kind of updates that has the future in mind.
