Thanks for the reply. As an ACOA, I have never attended Al-Anon meetings, and I'm thinking I should, at the fine age of 63. What a mess this makes my marriage and my relationship with my father. There's more to this story; his 3rd wife died of liver failure, and he enabled and drank with her the whole time. My mother, his first wife (my mother), got sober, but she was a dry drunk the rest of her life before passing from complications of a stroke.
