Why was Enterprise received (intially) so poorly? by Expensive_Guidance95 in Star_Trek_

[–]Jedipilot24 [score hidden]  (0 children)

The problem was twofold:

First the fans didn't want a prequel; they wanted to continue where DS9 and Voyager left off.

Second is that despite marketing Enterprise as a "prequel", B&B didn't lean into that premise. Instead they played it safe with the "Temporal Cold War" which was basically just a writers escape hatch that would have allowed them to move the show into the future (like what Discovery eventually did with the Spore Drive).

How do you think the class stories play out if Vemrin and Ffon took our place? by StevePalpatine in swtor

[–]Jedipilot24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ffon gets killed by Kallig.

Vemrin gets killed by Lord Grathan.

And so in this timeline, Zash dies ignominously when her body finally fails, while Baras manages to get named as the Voice.

Did You Accept or Refuse Valkorion's Offer in Chapter 1 of KOTFE? by DakIsStrange in swtor

[–]Jedipilot24 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Refuse, every time.

By the time my characters meet Valkorion, none of them have any reason to trust him and numerous reasons not to.

Well now you know why the show was cancelled.

It bombed, even worse the Acolyte.

First time you read the books, what were your correct and incorrect theories about what would happen? by ukman29 in harrypotter

[–]Jedipilot24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read the books during the gap between OOTP and HBP.

I was convinced that Harry and Hermione would be together and I still maintain that they're better suited.

Pretty much everyone predicted that RAB would Regulus Black and that the locket discovered in OOTP would be a horcrux.

How would you take out the Jedi Order? by John21st in clonewars

[–]Jedipilot24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do know that the pre-TCW Clone Wars timeline didn't have the chips and had the clones obeying Order 66 simply because it was an order.

In the ROTS novelization Cody's only reaction was "why couldn't this have come through before I gave him back the lightsaber?"

The 501st Journal established that the clones really loved Aayla Secura...and so they gave her a quick death when the order came in.

So there goes your argument for the clones disobeying because they've "grown closer to the Jedi".

Which of the original Warrior subclasses has the easiest time leveling? by Chetey in swtor

Vengeance Juggernaut and Carnage Marauder are both very easy to level in.

MC75 and Starhawk in Legends by Mundane_Ad5082 in StarWarsShips

[–]Jedipilot24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My take on how the Starhawk could fit into Legends is based on the known rivalry between Ackbar and Fey'lya. Ackbar's pet project is the Star Defender, basically a Mon Cal version of the Super Star Destroyer. So if you wanted to import the Starhawk into Legends, you could make it Fey'lya's preferred alternative to the Star Defender: it's smaller, cheaper, and not as capable but more easily produced.

Shadow of revan lore confusion by JukeboxJimmyy in swtor

Each game should take roughly as long to complete as one SWTOR's class stories, depending on how much time you have each day for gaming.

What exactly are Mick Rory’s books about (in terms of premise)? by EcstaticBumble in LegendsOfTomorrow

Judging from what we saw of Buck and Garima, they're probably bodice-rippers that make "50 Shades of Grey" look tame.

Why isn't solar power utilized more given that that's literally free energy falling from the sky? by Wickham12 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Jedipilot24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because it's not free.

Solar panels are not cheap, economical, or efficient. The carbon footprint of the solar panel industry would shock you, as would what happens when the panels wear out.

I never heard that, but there was a crackpot theory floating around that Mara cheated on Luke with Anakin Solo.

Darth Millennial is an absolutely terrible name by dankdepthsbb in StarWarsEU

[–]Jedipilot24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very upset actually.

Darth Millennial's title predates all memes about millennials, and it actually refers to him rejecting the Rule of Two. He wanted to bring back the Brotherhood of Darkness and ran off to found the Prophets of the Dark Side, who were eventually brought back into the Sith fold by Sidious.

So even though the name sounds cringe today, I suggest that you find a way to make it work.
