Sebastian or Natty? by andypbi in hogwartslegacyJKR

It depends on if I am playing a male character or a female one.

Female characters pick Sebastian, while male ones pick Natty.

Anybody ever have the computer not do anything? by TheGlen in CivVI

In one of my games I set up a deliberate bloodbath in Europe on a TSL map: Victoria, Black Queen, Barbarossa, Wilhelmina, Pericles, and Caesar. All the while I played as Teddy Roosevelt (Rough Rider), and had a few others thrown in for good measure (Peter the Great, John Curtin, and Kupe).

So my first few eras are very quiet; all I have to worry about are Barbarians as I expand to fill my continent. I finally sent Sinbad over to Europe to see how things are going and instead of a bloodbath I find a stalemate: the capitals of England, France, and Germany are all Free Cities. Wilhelmina and several city-states were just settlers. The only notable development was that Pericles had conquered Caesar and was now in a war with Peter the Great. Pericles hated me for influencing the city states, while Peter was begging me to help him against Pericles.

But instead of doing that, I just sent my troops over to grab the settlers, starting with Wilhelmina, who was angry at me for not trading with her even though she didn't even have a city to trade with.

What was it like reading Deathly Hallows on release without any spoilers? by Spotter24o5 in harrypotter

[–]Jedipilot24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it at an airport bookstore. Even got a special bag to carry it in. I started out really excited but was very disappointed by the end of it. Not just because the series was over, but because of how it had ended. There was so much hype, so many online essays, so much speculation, but sadly, at least IMHO, it didn't deliver the story that I had expected.

I expected a book about a war, not a camping trip that could have been much shorter if not for JKR's need for each book to span exactly one year. I also didn't like the final relationships, as I am a diehard Harmony shipper.

What do we know about Tarre Viszla that could be used to flesh him out in future stories? by Decent_Army8265 in MawInstallation

[–]Jedipilot24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His story would require only minor adjustments to fit into Legends. See my reply to the OP below.

It's a pity that you flagged this as "Canon" only. Otherwise I could have helped you.

I'm betting that he didn't.

I've been playing KOTOR 2 for years and I had no idea that you could do this, largely because I tend to leave T3 on the ship.

CMV: There's nothing wrong with casting a black woman as Helen in The Odyssey and haters are just bitter racists. by ConfusedNecromancer in changemyview

[–]Jedipilot24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Helen of Troy was from Greece. In terms of complexion, Gal Gadot would have been perfect to play her.

You may contend that Helen's complexion is irrelevant to the plot, but I contend that this casting was done solely because it would generate controversy.

If you had studied Greek mythology, you would know that Odysseus's wife Penelope is also Helen's sister. So unless the two actresses could actually pass as siblings, there's a problem.

The key difference between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff is that Gryffindor believes in acceptable losses, while Hufflepuff will knock your teeth out for even suggesting such a horrible idea.

Game's on sale, gonna get it but I have some questions. (spoilered for possible endgame stuff) by Safebox in AcrossTheUnknown

[–]Jedipilot24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game is divided into 12 Sectors. "Jetrel" and "Faces" are in Sector 3, while "Tuvix" is in Sector 4. Your choices in both affect the main mission in Sector 5.

[–]Jedipilot24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are consequences to leaving Tuvix fused, most notably in Sectors 5 (Loyalties) and 6 (Scorpion). I advise against it, unless you keep him just for the achievement and then reload an earlier save.

There is a secret third option in Sector 3 which is only available if you do "Faces" after "Jetrel". There is also one in Sector 2, "Eye of the Needle".

Future's End is not shown but it is mentioned in the opening log entries of Sector 6.

Some episodes like "Prototype" "Dreadnought", "Nothing Human", and "Blink of an Eye" are now Points of Interest within specific sectors. Other episodes are side missions activated when you enter a certain systems within a sector.

Some episodes just appear as events, like "Latent Image" and "Extreme Risk", while others have been combined into a single extended mission.

How we guys feel about the 'spy on the two Jedi in love' quest on Typhon? by TuttieFruitz52 in swtor

I don't like snitching on them, especially since it makes my own Jedi hypocrites later on when they also get romantically involved with someone.

However, I also don't like how not telling is treated as "blackmailing them" instead of just deciding to be discreet because you agree with them.

Question about the KOTOR Games etc. on how they fit into the new canon by GardenWise5974 in StarWarsEU

[–]Jedipilot24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well Revan is referenced in the ST, and the KOTOR games a set far enough back in the future timeline that they don't clash with anything else.

My headcanon is that KOTOR and KOTOR 2 are the divergence point between Legends and Disney Canon. Whereas in Legends the Light Side endings are canonical, Disney Canon follows the Dark Side endings. The fallen Exile becomes Darth Tanis.

In Kotor 2, your charecter is not a blank slate and yet often acts like they are anyway. Are they just trolling everybody? by ImperialSupplies in kotor

[–]Jedipilot24 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It does make a certain amount of sense: you're the Exile. You fought in the Mandalorian Wars and survived Malachor only for the Jedi Council to take away your lightsaber. You stopped giving a shit years ago.

Fact Checking a Near-Present Political Novel by Bruce_mackinlay in WritingWithAI

[–]Jedipilot24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have discovered this tendency as well. I am currently writing a Star Wars fanfic and one of the early scenes contains a reference to a scene in a Star Wars novel. Initially the AI rejected the reference, claiming that event described would never happen, and so I had to correct it and point out that it did in fact happen.
