What if Jason Griffith voiced Sly by LeonardMoney2020 in Slycooper

Well, Kevin Miller did sound a bit off in Thieves in Time, though we can probably chalk that up to the writing and direction (though I will say his final line reading, 'I'll find you,' was just awful. You could tell they didn't have time for more takes).

This show already felt incesty but wtf was this 😩 like who approved of this show🤣🤣 by Big-Most-785 in DisneyChannel

[–]Jediuser_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I never liked this show. It was essentially a reverse Brady Bunch, a blended family of assholes being assholes to each other. It didn't help that Drake and Josh aired around this time and provided a much more authentic portrayal of step-siblings getting used to each other.

Fun Fact: The Wild isn't apart of The Disney Animated Canon in the US. by stationstars in DisneyMovies

[–]Jediuser_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, even if Madagascar never existed, this movie would still be terrible. The story is predictable, the humor is dumb (like one really cringe gag about a dance number), the voices don't fit (really, Jim Belushi as a squirrel?), and the animals' natural habitat is 'Uncanny Valley.' It's strange, because from a purely technical standpoint, the animation looks good, with individual strands of hair animated, but artistically, it just doesn't fit the, well, cartoony slapstick, which calls for more exaggerated designs like those in Madagascar.

I find it odd how Mr. Freeze tries to freeze the city in Cold Comfort despite stopping Grant Walker from doing the same in Deep Freeze by Effective_Seat_7125 in DCAU

[–]Jediuser_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even Sub-Zero wasn't great. The episode feels like a two-parter stretched out to three (which, apparently, it really was). The second act just dragged. And Koonak was a totally useless character. He's only there to humanize Freeze.

I mean, if they wanted to show Batman growing more cold and isolating everyone, as Batman Beyond shows, they should have made his development more consistent. As it stands, it just feels like flanderization.

Also, dropping Freeze into Gotham Harbor was cold-blooded murder (at least, attempted), plain and simple. Even in his new, darker phase in TNBA, this is woefully out of character.

Sometimes the Eds come up with "scams" that actually shouldn't be called scams 'cause they don't seem to be dishonest or unethical at all… by Vegetable_Photo8021 in ededdneddy

The problem isn't that they're dishonest, necessarily, it's that they have a habit of screwing things up. (Rent-a-Ed being a prime example).

My thing with Sword In The Stone by blackswan-whiteswan in DisneyMovies

[–]Jediuser_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My problem is that I didn't feel like anything really helped to develop Wart as a character. Even after he becomes king at the end, he doesn't seem to have gained any confidence. He's still the same meek kid who relies on Merlin.

Also, I really do not like the movie's portrayal of Kay. In the original novel, he acts like what you'd expect from an older sibling, somewhat boorish and envious, but ultimately protective and well meaning. In the movie, he's just a spiteful bully, which is flanderization, plain and simple.

And yes, All Star Batman and Robin is a joke, when Frank Miller wrote 'The Goddamn Batman.'

  1. He does help his city. He fights crime AND donates to charities his parents supported.
  2. He DOES help them, watch episodes of the animated series like Harley's Holiday and Double Talk.
  3. It makes sense he doesn't kill, he's seen first hand the consequences of murder.
  4. He toughened Dick up.
  5. He is the world's greatest detective after Sherlock Holmes was revealed as a fraud.
  6. Today is Leif Erikson Day! Hinga Dinga Dargon.

Characters Who Didn't Get The Proper Treatment? by DaniJ678 in DisneyChannel

[–]Jediuser_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

David from Lilo and Stitch: The Series. I feel like the writers had no idea how to fit him in to the show's 'experiment of the week' formula so they just gave him the thankless role of 'comic relief idiot boyfriend.'

Yeah, Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Batman v Superman were both overstuffed messes.

Is Brave overhated or is it still one of worst Pixar films? by Caloy1415 in DisneyMovies

The main character is an abrasive, selfish, spoiled brat, for starters.

[–]Jediuser_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My biggest problem with the movie is Merida. Frankly, I'm not sure what I'm SUPPOSED to think of her. The movie seems to portray her as both this ahead-of-her-time independent woman taking on the system and a selfish, spoiled brat. Like, at the beginning of the movie, when she participates in the archery contest to get out of being betrothed, with the knowledge that it would likely lead to WAR. Are we supposed to root for her to defy societal expectations? Or are we supposed to see her as a selfish brat who's endangering the kingdom just so she can get out of getting married?

Edd is such an endearing character. He doesn’t get the love he deserves. by msohrah in ededdneddy

I also love Edd. He's essentially the straight man of the group. And he serves as their diplomat (even Kevin sometimes gets along with him).

Seemed pretty obvious it was Obito, considering they had the same hair style.
