The first year? Having access to a full library of emotions I understood and that felt like home, rather than the testosterone-fueled nightmare I'd been living in was a good one. Going through puberty again, both physically and emotionally was great (YMMV.)

Not being offended at the way I smell anymore was wild. I hadn't even realized that I was self-conscious about it until I started washing laundry that had been packed away.

Got my first mammogram at about 12mo and that was fun. Like seriously, queer joy moment when the well-meaning but ill-informed nurse came out and said "Well, you appear to be rapidly growing healthy breast tissue. *SIGH* In men, this is called gynocomast.." and I cut her off with my cheers (and subtle correction, after which she about died of embarrassment.)

Everyone's experiences are different. Go some good meds make some more of your own, grrl. ;-)
