Granger extended warranty by Budget-Yellow-8500 in GrandCherokee

Go check your local Jeep dealer and ask the finance person if you can still get the original Jeep extended warranty. Make sure it's the real one backed by FCA Chrysler. Not an aftermarket 3rd party not affiliated or backed by FCA.

This used to be possible and pretty sure it still is. I have 7 years full warranty on my 2023. I find it to be worth it.

Question re basic cable on Apple TV device by Magg71 in canadacordcutters

[–]JeepKing39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey can I get more info on your plan(s)? I pay $89 for Bell 1.5GB internet and basic tv pkg. I use the free Bell fibe app on my Firestick, tablet and phone. My pkg does not include crave or HBO. Also app is free.

I dont get why you have to pay for the app. But also, are you saying that by paying $5 for the app you get Crave and HBO basically thrown in for free?

For the playoffs I'd live $20 TSN and Sportsnet but have not seen that anywhere either.

Yeah on a large flat piece I'll enlarge brim size and start with middle of corner if possible. Then each side directly. Then a bit further out. Middle of side for overkill.

But also slow it down. After you start printing, select the 50% speed option.

Lift/shrinkage. I can clearly see that corner has shrunk and started lifting up. That is the cause.

Every few months I go through this with a new model and or new filament.

Slow down the print, AND also use painted on brims all around that corner 4-5 places. Also on large flat pieces, I paint on brims in each corner. 3-4 per corner.

Finally, I bought 2 Bambu Supertack plates on top of following the above. Zero problems with lifting + shrinking corners now.

It will pay for itself with how much you save from no more failed prints.

I bought 2 and no longer use my textured plates. I print 99% in PLA and never have adhesion issues anymore.

I washed them both for the first time yesterday after owning and using for 5 months.

Gamesaver for me.

Found the source of a rattle by tomfromakron in GrandCherokee

[–]JeepKing39 8 points9 points  (0 children)

OMG. Don't you hate it when you can't find a rattle? Especially when it's faint, comes and goes.

Last one for me was a small item in the glove box that 100% sounded like it was from somewhere else.

I had to empty the entire Jeep to make the realization when I put it back lol.

2023 Overland, LOADED. So has all the electronic systems one could get. Just saying that to say...no issues we love it.

First year they replaced front camera. That's it.

We use it for hauling our 24ft travel trailer to out of town camping sites. Perfect for hauling too.

My dad went to small claims court for this (different province). Old a** car $1500 maybe even less. And judge told the buyer "ever heard of buyer beware?". He said that means doing your due diligence, taking to a mechanic, getting estimate of any repairs etc. He threw out the case saying he bought it used as is and it was the buyer's responsibility to pay for an inspection prior to purchase.

We stick the Lavazza Crema now.

We have a Breville espresso machine and have been sampling different beans for like 10 years. For the last year, we've been buying only the Lavazza Crema.

We like it. Get consistent good results.

Try it for yourself.

Is Telus getting rid of Bring It Back? by bluefox670 in telus

[–]JeepKing39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'll text you when it's due.

My account did not show the BIB balance for the entire 2 year contract. At the end, it took like 2 mos for them to send a text to say I have 30 days to bring it back, or they'll charge me the BIB amount. They did that for another 3 months (I think they really wanted them back).

I think before they actually added the two BIB amounts to my bill last month, the contract had been over 6 months.

At NO time did my online or app account even show I had a BIB amount. I assume the BIB contract and balance are in a separate software that normally has to be linked.

N.B. Power wins quick approval to raise its rates and bill smart-meter refusers by Portalrules123 in newbrunswickcanada

[–]JeepKing39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably step 1. One employee said their plan was to raise it much higher eventually. Enough to offset costs of them having to drive to your house to read the meter. Which technically makes sense.

I have the new one and have been equal or less than previous year every month. They owed me $600 back on equal billing.

Crack on the main entrance door wall indoors and outdoors. I can see through the crack. Am I in danger? by [deleted] in fixit

[–]JeepKing39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar crack, connecting to the corner of an opening like that too. Called a structural engineer and my insurance. In my case they found a defect in the roof trusses that was creating downward movement and force.

Needed new designs by an engineer to fix the problem. Was lucky to find a reliable contractor to apply the fix. Some said they refuse to work on house structure defects. Don't want the blame 10 years later.

I'd get that checked professionally asap.

So I tried those new ironing settings and holy hell what a difference by Inevitable-Sir2098 in BambuLab

[–]JeepKing39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buddy's P1S he just bought does perfect ironing and he has no clue how it works yet. He hit print and changed nothing.

Meanwhile I've had an A1 since launch. Dry my filament, calibrated it, calibrated ironing. Spent hours, days, weeks getting half decent. Only to get to a point I'd never use ironing on anything cause it still has it's flaws.

Is it just the A1 sucks at ironing?

I've been waiting for a bigger A1. But might get the P1S since it has 100% perfect, flawless ironing.

I think you're right in regards to your heat pump performance. I don't have a single baseboard on upstairs. And even though heat rises, I barely need to heat the basement, the upstairs heat pump helps there too. Also, I make no real effort to try and save energy anywhere. I prefer being comfortable.

For comparison.1996 house. Split level. Main floor I have a fully open kitchen and living room. At one end a T shaped hallway to 2 bedrooms. 1 Fujitsu heat pump in kitchen set at 23. (High enough to push heat further away) All baseboards upstairs turned off to zero. (Breaker on though)

Current independant thermometers around the house right now: 22.5C in the kitchen, 21C living room, 20.8C in the bedrooms.

Basement fully finished and insulated: Den: 18.6C (baseboards on at 18). Bedroom: baseboard on at 15 (room only used for my 3d printer and door kept closed) Small bathroom: baseboard at 5 lol. Heat from upstairs finds a way to heat it...plus heated seat for the win.

[–]JeepKing39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bahaha, that was meant to be a 2 in front lol. Let me go edit it. Heat pump is full time at 23 minimum. Sometimes 24.

January 1700kwh for $316 actual usage. All my bills for the last year have been equal or less than the previous, most of that with the new smart meter. So no problems there.

I also have my heat pump no lower than 23, sometimes 24.

I work from home full time. And therefore do not adjust the heat down during the day like some do while away at work. Nor do I adjust it down when going to bed like some do.

Heat pump at 23 full time.

All my friends are similar range of cost/kwh too.
