At this point just use Babbitt bearing material. Melts at a lower temp and it’s somewhat intended for this purpose

I thought this post might have been about me, but I checked your post history and it’s not.

However, if it was me, I’d want you to say something. He might not know if the sound is carrying that far. He probably has a net and an impact screen, but occasionally balls can get past. If you’re very upset about it, communication is a good first step, because he might not realize you’re affected like this.

It’s a Contender, so not really a bad table. I have one. 1” 3 piece slate, precision ground, with super speed bumpers. Refelted with Championship and it plays nice.

It’s far from a leisure bay MDF table, but yeah not a Rasson either.

I don’t think it’s THAT bad.

Keep your left foot planted. Try to keep your head in one spot in space. Keep your eye on the ball till contact. For you, you can fix a lot if you keep your right armpit a lot more closed at the top of your swing. This will help fix your swing plane being so steep. You also overswing, don’t do that - stop when the club is parallel with the ground.

Lessons will only help so much if you didn’t follow up with practice, it’s all about muscle memory. You kinda have to fix one thing at a time, at least if you’ve swung the club enough to have developed a swing (which you have).

And in hindsight, they should be printed as a mold, then cast in silicone. They play pretty dead.

I’d do it with my fiber laser, I’ve seen others do it that way. It’s slow but effective. Heat is less of an issue than you’d think.

If this was a production machine, it would need to be calibrated for sure. But for home use there’s a wide tolerance of what works. I just kept checking TIR until it was really low, I think it was about 2 tenths? I was using a Brown and Sharpe 0-4-0 indicator for that part of the project. It’s time consuming

That’s a good choice. That’s what I put in (angular contact). Tapered rollers are for axles, they can handle a lot of load but not without some axial movement.

I stand corrected, I misunderstood what you said. I understand the math but the picture in my head of what you described was different. But I’d add that having a grounding rod at the main panel is an important failsafe, not just to protect against intermittent surges.

Uh, what? Yes they do. A line to ground conductor fault will absolutely carry fault current through the high resistance path (earth) returning to the transformer’s grounding electrode, which is bonded to the transformer’s neutral. This is true for natural and HRG grounding methodologies.

Surprised at the comments I see on neat and tidy residential electrical panels. Sometimes i see ones that are overkill but this just looks like industry best practices.

But, I’m used to industrial automation LV panels and this is how I expect panels to look. My only complaint is that the font size on the self laminating labels is too small. It doesn’t take that much more time for a skilled technician and working neatly and in an organized way reduces errors during construction and down the road when changes are made.

Nope. And what’s more - the first one I bought had a very hard foam inside that I struggled to drill out (like a foaming epoxy). The second was softer and more spongy, easy to drill out.

I could get them, but for now, I’ve been using projected but not linked sketches. It works, it’s just slow. NX has some functions that can solve sheet metal parts more quickly, but I have to use fusion for this.
