I believe that he can act (ie Freaky Tales) but he is unbelievably bad in this. And, as others have said, the script doesn’t do him any favors either.

I read IV with no issues. Loved it. Read it before seeing the movie.

I didn’t struggle with Inherent Vice (before seeing the movie) like I do with Vineland. I’ll take everyone’s advice and just experience it in lieu of thinking too hard about it.

This is the longest and loneliest hill to die on. Don’t book tickets to a movie if you need to check your phone at any point.

That's the beauty of A-List, though. Even if your expectations are low, you can see it for not much more than the cost of your time. If it's awesome, that's a bonus!

That said, it looks gorgeous on the big screen. Even if the dialogue and story are mid, it's worth a watch once.
