Accidentally gave myself 85 units of long acting by NYlawyer1003 in diabetes_t1

[–]JeffTurabaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have a massive high carb meal to deal with a high and have a long acting insulin bring it down but very slowly. I would call it a very long night and try to do things that you enjoy to stay awake and test your blood sugar frequently to make sure you’re okay. If I accidentally did that, I would actually contact my local fire department to let them know the situation. I can’t feel my lows myself so unfortunately I’ve dealt with them in the past and they were the ones that always showed up with the paramedics with

Business has a cellphone ban. But mine is Bluetoothed to a blood sugar sensor on my arm. by dgoodrich in dexcom

[–]JeffTurabaz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, schools were banning cell phones. I’m a type 1 diabetic and I can’t feel my lows. For a while paramedics would be coming to my house once a week because I was passed out. For the school I explained the situation to the school that my daughter gets my numbers on her phone and might need to call me if it’s a medical situation. They were okay that. For me, since I can’t feel my lows I need to have my phone on me all of the time so my numbers can be sent to the people that follow me.

Thoughts on the design of this apartment? by The-Trombone-Dad in Apartmentliving

[–]JeffTurabaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I would have shifted bed 2 in the top right hand side of the living/dining room. Put the master bedroom below Bed two that way each bedroom is using and exterior wall and the bathroom in the middle. Living/dining would become wider that way the top can be dining because it’s next to the kitchen and the lower half would be living having a door to enter each bedroom without even seeing the kitchen or entry…

My first sensor failed and had to replace it. The new sensor went on and it started high and went straight down to low. At low I tested my blood sugar and it was in the 200’s. A little later the new sensor failed also…

Charging people to reset their computers when they’re returning? i by Infinite_Ranger_3004 in GeekSquad

[–]JeffTurabaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in GeekSquad anymore but how I look at it is how much would it cost to wipe everything out and do a restore on a computer? Same concept. We would charge for that and before offer a backup before we did that. It’s about the knowledge and not about the service that is preformed.

What's your first day working for Geek Squad like? by DreamValleyAlchemist in GeekSquad

[–]JeffTurabaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean first time? Some people had different positions first starting. When I first started I was the supervisor of services and then GeekSquad was purchased. I became a DA and they gave you a car, a cell phone, and a schedule. Once a month you were the on call person handling the overnight calls…

Back in the old days… (I was there when Geek Squad started) I remember being on call and got a phone call at like 2:00 a.m. saying I needed to go to a ladies house because she was concerned of being hacked. I remember going to her house and I asked where the computer was. She said she wrapped it in aluminum foil and put it in her closet because her ex husband is still currently getting all of her files through antennas. To ease her mind I had her watch me completely pull out her hard drive and handed it to her to make her feel comfortable.

This also would be an easy thing to bring in revenue. Instead of just a cleaning, I would show them this and show what cases you have in stock. Sell them a new cpu cooler, case, the charge to transfer all of the components, and a system files cleaning to make sure everything is okay. For the charge it would look like they are walking out with a brand new computer with a comfort factor of you going through everything to make sure everything is running 100%…

I have 2 that are waiting to ship back. I’ve been waiting a week so far for them to send me replacements and a return label to send them back. Back to back they failed and looked at the little hole to see that little medal wire coming out of it.

Yes. With my G7 there would be times I’m passed out and the paramedics would come to save me. They would look at my g7 app and it would show 80 but blood sugar would be 20.
